That's true. Actually, I wasn't even talking about them making good trades. I am mainly interested in their decisions about who to trade and who to keep. What they get in the trades is secondary for me, although, I would hope they make some wise trades too.

My whole point is we really don’t know if any of our players we develop will become perennial all stars. Seager proved clutch in the WS so that was fine in my eyes. Did not have problem with Semien. Do think they need to be the star leaders on the field. Seager does seem to like the Grill but underperformed otherwise

I would have liked to get a CF like Buxton and a SS but alas. If we have guys come up who are great we will work out the positions IMO. But to think they will become better than Seager and Simien is hopeful thinking and no guarantee

And yes good trades ahead will be needed. Ones like the Napoli and Hambone.

Apparently, it is very hard to sign a guy to perform as a superstar, especially when one has proven to be too inconsistent for a few years to be labeled as a superstar.

Apparent for now but that is an evolving creature as seen with Marcus uptick. But yeah they have been paid let’s see them produce

I am hoping we trade all our upper level CF guys for one elite minor league CF. Who that is I don’t know. Leday is certainly not available

To me when they traded Kinsler to make room for Profar, I thought they made the right decision. When Profar didn't do well after that I still thought they made the right decision.

Sometimes good decisions don't work out well and sometimes bad decisions work out well. I try to judge the decision when it was made and not wait to see how it works out.

If they trade Nathaniel Lowe and he become a perennial All Star, I would not hold that against the front office. I fell good about us having the players to take his place.

If they trade Jonah Heim to make room for Huff to play more I would not ever think they were wrong for doing so. I could understand and agree with the reasoning for doing so and even if Huff flames out I would not change my mind.

If they trade Taveras to make room for Smith or Duran I would support that decision no matter how those players do in the future.

Coming into this season, I didn't think of Semien as a superstar or even close to that level. That is why I always said we needed to go after one of the top 3 SS available. I never wanted us to pursue him based on his past and somewhat due to his age.
