New posters to Broncos page

I see a lot of new names posting here and assume most (if not all) came from the Mane.

Curious about the newbies. Perhaps a brief blurb of introduction?

Personally, I live in the Washington DC pod and have been posting on and off with the (well) seasoned and core posters on this page for over a couple decades.

Glad to have the fresh perspectives and hope you guys stick around. Looking forward to the next thread about this year’s “breakout poster”

I'll bite.

I'd posted over at the OrangeMane since 2003, though less so the last couple of seasons. When it crashed and burned I knew I'd still need my Bronco debate fix, so I followed the lifeline over here.

I too live in the DMV area on the Northern Virginia side. Lived in Colorado Springs until 1990, and have carried my Fandom with me ever since I left.

As a poster I can be a bit of a optimistic contrarian, I am big on offering the benefit of the doubt to players and the team and try to maintain a positive outlook....until It's obvious I can't. I play with numbers and throw a lot of statistics around in the process.

If you could hear me watching a game....I sound quite different. I tend to declare losses in the first quarter and then torture myself until it's over. I end up sounding like Randy Quaid from Major League. Even though I believe in always supporting the team and players, unless they are jackasses. Talent doesn't trump Character for me.

Uh....lets see...where did I stand on the major events over the last couple decades.

Supported Elway over Reeves
Thought Jake Plummer got screwed
Never really liked Cutler
Hated McDaniels
Loved Demaryrius Thomas
Loved Moreno
Defended the exit of Wade Phillips, but didn't like how he was replaced.

Favorite players of all time: Elway, Terrell Davis (2KBack), Mike Anderson, Meck, Eddie Mac, Atwater, Plummer, Von Miller

Oh and above all....I don't like fighting on the internet. I like rational debate/conversation, it's football, not life and death.

That's actually the guy that kind of pushed me this direction. I was a fan at first, but the more dirty crap he did over time soured me. I like hard play, I'm cool with trash talk and minds games, but not being dirty on the field or a terrible human off the field.

I liked Romo as a player but the spitting incident and when he beat his Raider teammate up so bad that he has to have plastic surgery on his face (Roland Williams) I lost all my respect.
