He was definitely legit, but his football career changed him from being a a threat to the fastest sprinters in the world. He was at a disadvantage when strength and speed are necessary for success.
I’m curious, how many Olympic sprinters have we had that were current NFL players over the past 30 years? I have no clue.
I agree there is no way he can hang now, but if he'd stayed in track meaning no football he would be in the current mix at 200m. His HS 20.14 takes 6th in the last Oympic 200m.
