Do you think someone is going to actually pay Baker that much?

Yes to Allen if he keeps it up..

I am somewhat on the fence about Jackson but he probably will as well
You are aware of the history with the Browns aren't you...

Mahomes/Rodgers/Wilson, the elite. All have to make more than Prescott, Watson and everybody else.

BUT.......as we all know all these QB's are making way too much, it's gotten ridiculous.

The reason the Pats have won all those Superbowls is obvious.......they didn't pay Brady silly $$$$.

There needs to be a set amount of $$$$ for a starting QB, 25mil a year is it.
Ahh yess... good old NFL socialism. Meanwhile the owners just rake it in unencumbered.

Not for $40 mil a year. That’s way too much to pay a QB that will keep your team irrelevant for 4 years. Just ask the Vikings.
40 per was the rate at the time based on what he has done in his first 4 plus seasons. Dak woulda been paid the same (if not more) on the open market. Hell....Denver very likely woulda been in for his services at that number

I haven't a clue what the next 4 years will bring and laugh as if you think you do. I know Dak would take the Vikings defense over what he has had in Dallas. We'll see how this works out

What has he done except for not win a meaningful game? Like I said, take the Vikings for example. Giving top dollars to a QB that hasn’t proven he can win a big game is just laughable.

Ask Matthew Stafford how he did with Detroit when he personally owned so much of the salary dollars.

Sure, Dak will probably win the NFC East next year. Some little girl named Emily who won the punt, pass and kick competition could win the NFC East. But a QB really does need a team, and he won't have one for long.

Without the owners the QB's are in the CFL making how much?

Dead serious, I need 20mill a year, can make ends meet with just 20mill, I want to play on a winner so if I can help out and I will.

All of us here were raised on far less than 20 mill a year,

Without the players the owners don’t have a business model, they kinda need each other

Seriously, dude.

You’re not even making a reasonable argument. You’re being Pollyannish! At least try to be realistic about the business of sports.

I'm being totally realistic, what pro athletes make nowadays is crazy. What the NFL needs to do is take the individual out of it, you pay so much by position and that is it. Not unlike most jobs, most pay by job title.

Things need to change.

Most jobs don’t bring in multiple billions of dollars what the players make is nothing in compared to what the owners make.

also I’m sure at the next cba meeting it will go over well if they are like you players are making too much we are going to cap you out

How much does Walmart or McDonalds make a year, what do their workers make a year? I worked for a huge insurance company, I made good money but a tiny fraction of what the company was making. And......didn't care.

How can ya justify a football player making 35 million dollar a year, come on, 35 million, really?

Maybe won't be in the top 5 in QB salary, but when his day comes, it's gonna be a huge number.

McDonald’s and football is so vastly different it’s not even worth mentioning, but a McDonalds employee is not bringing in billions of dollars of revenue like Football players are

Check back in a couple of weeks after the TV contracts are agreed to. I’m sure the networks will fall all over themselves in giving the league far less than the last time.

WELL....Lets see
Watson in playoffs
1-2, 63.5 Comp%, 870 yards, 4 TD's, 1 pick with 91% playoff QB Rating

Prescott in playoffs
1-2, 64.1 Comp%, 794 yards, 5 TD's, 2 picks with 95.7% playoff QB Rating

I'd say he's done as much as Watson in big games and I'm sure you have no issue with his pay.

Your posts are what's laughable

CMON....what's crazy is the cost to fans who would like to take their kid to a game.
tickets, parking, concessions makes it impossible. Corporations attend games for the most part.

bottom line....owners get their money just fine, get off your high horse about players and look around

Yea I read that most sports teams could charge Fans literally next to nothing for tickets and still turn a huge profit

The CFL is over 60 years old, they don't pay anyone ridiculous $$$$. So how do they make it work?

My father raised 4 kids making a fraction of 35 mill a year, who needs 35 mill a year?

Yep. I’ve been to AT&T stadium a total of 4 times. None were for a Cowboys game. Won free tickets to the 2015 CFP game between Alabama & Michigan State... and the other three times were high school playoff games. I’m not spending the kind of money that Jerry is asking for seats on top of $70 just to park.

The CFL doesn’t bring in even close to what the NFL brings in
