Isn't Cali and Nevada starting to reopen, while your crazy train govna just extended your stay at home? Seriously...

Extended? She has announced it will start reopening next Friday.

Certain rural counties who "meet the requirements after application".

Then she did also recently say lock down will extend to July 6.

So who knows, my guess is this state is locked down until November.

There's no way these games happen on time at this point. And if they do, they'll be in front of no one. I'm starting to think we'll see some weird version of a conference schedule only and all OOC games will be removed.

It's ok for states out west to be cautious right now..it's still early and to be honest they are doing something right. Give the rest of this month and June play out

Everyone needs to start driving again! Help us out man! Hardly anything movin' through the pipelines right now. Storage facilities are full and the refineries ain't working enough to draw down very quickly.

Got a double whammy at the same time here in the oil patch. COVID - 19 and the Russia-Saudi squabble at the same time.
Hey where I live is doing it's part. Traffic flow is normal with happy people shopping but would be happier if restaurants were open. I drove 100 miles yesterday for an oil change and stopped at a country store famous for it's sandwiches. Ate there with a guy and his two sons discussing racing. Felt good to enjoy the sights, sounds and contact with real people.

Oh and how much have we been infected? The flu was worse.

Wish I could load up the presentation from the HealthCon that I have been watching .. This isn't the Flu.. the flu isn't contagious like this. Yes many many people will be fine, some will need some assistance, but they will be fine too.. then there's the people who have underlying health issues who will be the most affected.

So as awesome was your trip for sandwiches and talking to people again.. this thing is very real still.

I'm envisioning tests being more available and faster. Maybe they set up booths 3 hours before kickoff and test you. You get a pass, they put a wristband and you can make your way to the stands. You fail, they take you to the back, take your tix and beat you to death.

Older people and those with underlying health issues are usually the most affected. I am no expert but I looked up the flu deaths and the chart for flu death is almost identical to CV but with a higher rate.

I am 99% sure I have had it. Had the classic symptoms, a negative flu test and a two week or so what I thought was an allergy cough. I am 67 and diabetic. Lucky for me I had it before I found out it was supposed to kill me. I did give it to two co-workers who got through with no problem.

I am fairly well versed as three of my best friends are Docs. In fact will be having lunch with one and his wife today. All three are very skeptical about a lot of the information. Was talking to one the other night and he mentioned have you noticed the death rates for many diseases are down especially in NY? CV pays better. Another stated that allowing medical personnel to make the decisions strictly on medical reasons which will float to very and perhaps over cautious recommendations may not be the best route.

Based upon personal and my area's results it looks like the cure is much worse than the disease. If we are not careful the operation will be successful but the patient died. After all never in the history of mankind have the healthy been quartrnained.

So you are telling me that the flu has wiped out 75k people within ..? 3 or 4 months?

Again, this isn't the flu. I get people want life to return to how it was before. And it will, but there has to be a cautious way of reopening and getting back on track. To think that everyone should just get it and it will be over sooner than later is frustrating to hear.
People will believe anything and create narratives in order to hear what they want to.

Not hard to fill up a stadium the size of a walk in closet. Get back to us when Oregon gets a real size stadium. Meanwhile Washington has lead the conference these past four years in attendance.

They sure will and your post is a prime example.

Psst; A record number of US patients died from flu last year, with 80 000 deaths recorded in 2017-18, says the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Robert Redfield. The prime flu season is Nov to Feb.

Also you should read up on the 1968 flu, and the 1957.
1968 flu pandemic, also called Hong Kong flu pandemic of 1968 or Hong Kong flu of 1968, global outbreak of influenza that originated in China in July 1968 and lasted until 1969–70.

An Influenza A virus (H3N2) outbreak in China led to the flu pandemic of 1968, also known as the “Hong Kong Flu.” It started in 1968 and lasted until 1969-70. The virus responsible for the pandemic is believed to have evolved from the strain of influenza that caused the 1957 pandemic through “antigenic shift” — an abrupt, major change in the virus that results in new surface proteins, creating a virus subtype that humans have little or no immunity to because the body doesn’t recognize its surface proteins.

According to the CDC, approximately 1 million people around the world died from this pandemic, and 100,000 of those deaths occurred in the United States.

This is not my first rodeo. I have survived all three.
