How is the board not abuzz with this news?
Shoulda kept my man Rubio...
He went back to Atlanta?
I have zero clue what the Hawks end game is
Why were they even interested in Drummond?
They probably believe they are a couple pieces away from having a future contending core. Not sure I am on board with that.
Which sounds silly when you look at their record, but might not be totally crazy when considering the pieces they already have.
If the Hawks can add a quality big and a couple solid pieces, they will immediately make a rather large leap. Obviously too late to make the playoffs this year, but they have talent. Now their talent needs to learn to win at the NBA level.

With Drummond specifically though he's likely unrestricted
I can't see Atlanta necessarily being first choice
Agree....not sure what their cap situation is but maybe better to try and get a stud in the 2021 FA class.I also can't see investing max money on Drummond being a smart play either. Collins is a big part of their future. They can find a cheaper piece to put at center if Collins is ultimately a PF.
