Peach Bowl: (1) Alabama vs. (4) LSU
Fiesta Bowl: (2) Ohio State vs. (3) Clemson
Cotton Bowl: Auburn vs. Cincy
Orange Bowl: Florida vs. Wake Forest
Rose Bowl: Oregon vs. Penn State
Sugar Bowl: UGA vs. Oklahoma
Reminder of the Tie-Ins
Rose: BigTen vs. PAC-12
Sugar: SEC vs. BigXII
Orange: ACC vs. BigTen OR SEC OR Notre Dame
Cotton: no tie-in
Every year the G5 team is forced to go to the Peach, Fiesta, or Cotton. Since the Peach and Fiesta are the semifinals, that means they are going to the Cotton.
What happened this week:
A sleepy weekend, with most of the top teams on bye. Certainly that will not be the case next weekend.
Oregon dominated with a win @USC. While this was the toughest remaining game before the PAC-12 title game, I do still see a future loss on the horizon.
An Oregon loss would seemingly open the door for Oklahoma, but only if they run the table. They have not been convincing enough for me to believe this will happen.
Notre Dame escaped VaTech in the closing seconds. Notre Dame remains a candidate for the Orange Bowl, but only if they don't drop another game.
The ACC continues to look like utter garbage after Clemson, but someone in the ACC will have to be selected to the Orange Bowl, even if none are ranked. But who will the ACC opponent play?
As always, feel free to comment on the above projections, or better yet...post your own.
