Lord have mercy. The Hawaii Game is going to finish before this game! Any chance they might suspend it until tomorrow?

That was a hell of a storm. Blew out transformers and knocked out power in our area. The transformer explosions were like bombs going off. Was kind of cool outside of losing power.
Probably the most prolific lightning storm in the last 6-7 years.
Yep. Anybody know if the Seahawks are at home tomorrow? They really ought to postpone it til tomorrow.Playing til like 1am local time is insane imho.
How's the Sailgating going that you always brag about?
Go Beavers!Oregon St. is taking to Hawaii atm.
Oregon St. > Arizona ?
Not lighting related, but one of my fondest memories of the Sound was when I was 15 and doing figure eights under the Narrows Bridge in a storm w/white caps. 14" of freeboard and every time my cousin started to walk to the back of the boat to bash my head in I'd flip another figure 8 to keep him off balance. Whirlpools everywhere and people literally stopping on the bridge trying to shout down to us. Finally a cop stopped on that bridge and we took off. Lucky me he waited until we got the boat loaded up at Browns Pt. before he bashed my head in.Ya, shit was nuts in the Sound. Since you grew up in Enumclaw you experience their electrical storms. It is like that except Thunder that shakes your home and the lightening lights up the sky every 30 seconds with bolts you see lands somewhere.

I haven't seen the new bridge yet but with the old one you always had constant whirlpools. The worst though was at riptide because if you didn't angle your boat when heading to Gig Harbor you'd keep angling south towards the Narrows. On a lighter note, the octopus fishing under the narrows is about as good as it gets with maybe the exception of Redondo. We'd go octopus fishing with five gallon buckets after we knocked holes in the bottom of 'em with 16p nails. Afterwards we'd sell them to the asians and go buy dope.Unfortunately I grew up after they re enforced the Narrows so I didn’t get to see the crazy stuff I heard about. Now that shit is an albatross for every resident who takes that, sails or anything boat related. The 101 became more ideal once a certain political party took over the WSDOT.
