According to PER, here were the best 10 players from last year’s playoffs in order:

1: Nikola Jokic

PER is far from a perfect stat. Jokic was definitely not the best player in the playoffs last year, Harrell was not in the top 5 or even 20.

PER values stat stuffers and bigs with high rebounding rates. It does not factor in defense effectively. It is a very biased stat.

You posted a very small sample of stats looking at the 8 and pretty sure you claimed it was 10 wins better.

Only 1 year (2014) was the West anything close to 10 wins better. They were 3.9 wins better over that stretch.

And I would prefer to debate basketball topics than debate semantics. But I think you are here more for the latter.

If you are saying it's 3.9 wins for every team, you get that's a lot, right? That means the West was nearly 60 wins better overall than the East.

The whole reason I brought up the Bulls was to illustrate that the East was weak back then and making the playoffs weren't a monumental accomplishment. Bosh only went to the playoffs for 2 season when he was in Toronto, so one season is significant.

Only one who doesn't get the East was weak back then seems to be @tlance

The difference, though, is unlike nearly all the players you mentined, was Bosh LED is team to the playoffs and was the unquestioned #1 guy on the team.
