Boring OU is 3-1-1 vs Alabama which is a 70% win rate which is about the same as OU's winning percentage vs Kansas(72%).

Not many teams have this distinction, a winning overall record vs Bama.. Congrats..
the first game was the 63 Orange bowl. Bama won 17-0 on an incredible defensive performance by Lee Roy Jordan (31 tackles in this game)
The Tie came in the 1970 bluebonnet bowl when both teams were kind of mediocre.. 24-24
this was the year before Bama integrated and brought in the wishbone
We played a home and home in 02 and 03,, Stoops was your coach and you were one of the best teams in the country.. Franchionne was coaching the Tide who was on probation both years and NOT at the top of our game,, we did show up and compete though with scores of 37-27 and 20-13.
I was at the 14 sugar bowl and got to see the 45-31 loss in person..
and now we're both in the top 4 and seeking another championship.. all signs point to another high scoring game.. both teams should be rested and ready..

You think it was because they didn’t want to give a crowd advantage for the 4 seed OU? Not saying Bama doesn’t travel well because I was at the Bama USC game and Bama fans were everywhere

I'm sure that's why they did it, but it's actually kind of dumb. Jerry world is like a 2nd home to Alabama, play there often. Even though it's the Big12 championship site, wouldn't be surprised if Alabama has more games playing it than Oklahoma.

And the crowd will be 60/40 in favor of Oklahoma @ the Orange bowl anyway just like every other playoff game.
