I don't get it. Why didn't Joshua Jackson get picked? Not too upset that James Daniels didn't get picked. Not too many centers did. But Jaire Alexander? Mike Hughes? Joshua Jackson was a the biggest ball hawk this season. 1st in interceptions and 1st in pass defended.
Iowa DBs tend to fall because there's a concern they can't play man. Jackson isxa, beast so he'll be fine. If I'm Cleveland I'm taking him at 33 and they just got the 2 best corners on the draft

Like I was telling rmillia....its all about footspeed with him. If he is fast enough then he is the top CB in the draft and if he isn't then he is going to drop.

I suspect he'll be off the board in the next 4 or 5 picks
You called it. I am mildly surprised because he tested fine. Iowa DBs tend to drop though so I should've known better lol

Why? The Ravens just drafted one of the few QB's on the planet that has a lower completion% than he does. :noidea:

Because flacco will soon be way too expensive foe the ravens to not cut/trade him, assuming he doesnt take a paycut (and he wont)

To be fair, he could still end up being a crazy good ball hawk in the NFL.

Just in the right scheme.

Penny had a very good draft combine, ran a 4.46 40. I don't know all that much about the RB's in the draft, but apparently the Seahawks scouts like him. Don't forget about another RB from SDSU that got drafted as the second overall pick in the 1994 NFL Draft, and was a damn good RB in the NFL.

I'm aware, but you also have to remember Donnel Pumphrey who put up similar numbers at SDSU the year before and hasn't seen the field in the NFL. Granted, Penny is built much more like a typical NFL runningback.

My QBs in order, of who I would draft, not will be drafted, so I can be on record and be mocked after the 2018 NFL season

1. Josh Rosen
2. Mason Rudolph
3. Baker Mayfield
4. JT Barrett
5. Lamar Jackson
6. Luke Falk
7. Josh Allen
8. Sam Darnold

RBs in order
1. Saquon Barkley

So I take it you like what the Cards did and got him at 10 and gave up really nothing to move up 5 spots.

Based purely on the numbers, Penny looks like he could be a good one. Can't fault the Hawks for not waiting to see if he'd fall.

Take him now cause he won't be there in the third round

Love the smart but aggressive moves by the Bills. Moved up to get their QB, but didn't overpay to get to #2. Then used the picks left from not overpaying to move up and get Edmunds. Pleasantly surprised.

I’m biased against Rosen after seeing him shit the bed against a bad UofA defense last year. Meh. Least they didn’t give up a ton to get him.

Bills are incredibly fucked.

For getting a guy at 7 that was expected to go sooner? Trading up to get their guy patiently instead of throwing too much trade capital to get to #2? I personally would've picked Rosen, but hopefully they have done their homework on Allen.

The patient trade-up left enough trade capital to move up and steal Edmunds. Like the first move, love the second.

Why are there 2 then?
Because the OP of this thread didn't know there was already a thread created months ago for this occasion. Probably should be merged.

Wow. People love us taking Roquan Smith, eh? I'm kind of relieved we just stayed where we were this year and took the guy that everyone unanimously loves.

Looks like a beast to me. D is pretty solid front to back now. Just seem depth up front and at OLB. Hopefully this draft pushes us from "top 10" to elite.
