I would have preferred if Loui Eriksson and Brandon Sutter retired
but...but...foundational piece.
I was kind of hoping for a farewell tour of sorts next season, but the Sedins don't need and likely don't want that extra type of attention taking away from the team. Two great players on the ice and even better people off the ice, I for one am going to miss them. Enjoy retirement Daniel and Henrik.
I'll forever wonder what would've happened had Tampa just taken a Sedin first overall.
Just looking at the teams with multiple picks in the top ten in 99, I'd guess the Rangers and Isles for sure (Isles had three picks in the top ten!), and TB probably was trying too before realizing they couldn't get the 2nd pick from Atlanta.Burke gets all the credit for swinging that deal to bring them both to the canucks but gallagher said this morning 4 or 5 teams were trying to work a deal to get them both and all the moving parts of a deal were being overseen by the sedins swedish agent and mike barnett
Sounds like the agents were going to get them on the same team no matter what and they had other options
