What metric do you want? None of them have fought UFC. Outside of a few players like Oakley and Stackhouse it is and always has been opinion.

Exact opposite of that actually.

Luc Longley would be a slightly better Timofey Mozgov. He didn't move his feet well enough to guard pick and roll. He would be exposed today and he wasn't a good enough post scorer to make up for it.

Adams is MUCH better than Longley.

What's your assessment on how well Steven Adams runs the floor? I've always thought of Adams as one of my favorite traditional bigs in the game today, but maybe I'm not giving him enough credit for his athleticism.

I think he does pretty well there.

He isn't a Marcus Camby type who will beat his man down the floor with speed, but he moves well, he runs hard when he goes and his athleticism is underrated.

Like I just said. I watched the games. I felt the same way when he was with OKC. Durant is a good player but he isn't tough like Westbrook. To think so is simply foolish.

I actually agree with you, but with a caveat.

I think there are more talented players who simply don't fit the modern game as well because they aren't agile enough to guard the perimeter. Adams checks all the boxes because he guards well both inside and out, he rebounds, finishes in the paint and doesn't ever need the ball.

I know there aren't 5 centers I would rather have on my team. Heck, depending on who qualifies as a center, there might only be 1 or 2.

Embiid is a no brainer. Cousins is a better player, but Cousins vs. Adams depends on who else you have. I can't imagine Cousins fitting better with Westbrook.

Is Anthony Davis a center? I don't think so. Definitely not taking Whiteside or Gasol over Adams. DeAndre Jordan and Andre Drummond are similar IMO, but not better. Jokic is like the polar opposite. Very good player, but again will depend on fit in terms of who you want.

I might be missing someone, but I only found 1 center I would definitely take ahead of Adams. Calling him top 5 is not a stretch at all.

The center position has become filled with JAG players because post play is dead and everything revolves around guards. Adams is among the best of the JAGs.
