Not happening. Most I would give up is a 3rd rounder.
Cowboy's aren't getting the best safety in football for a 3rd rounder.... Not happening.....

So give up a 1st rounder for a player that might be gone in a year?

I was thinking a 2nd and next year's 3rd, but if they're fishing for a 1st and maybe 4th or 5th next year I'd be thrilled.
Love Earl Thomas. I wear his jersey to games, but the next 2 years are about rebuilding this team like they did in 2011 and making another 5 year run.
C'Mon Jerrah, you know you wanna.
I don't think you realize truly how good Earl is, and he wants to be a Cowboy, we all know that... He would be a MASSIVE upgrade for you guy's ... And he's only 28 years old .. personally I don't want him to leave, but if you seriously don't think he's worth a 1st, HE IS!!! You're not drafting anyone as good as Earl in the 1st round this year that will make an impact like Earl, dude goes sideline to sideline like the road runner....
Earl can still play. He played amazing last year.
He is worth a 1st
I'd give a 3rd. No More, because i have to give him $40M tooGoing price is their 1st as of this morning
which one?O. Hell. No.
That crazy idiot would be a locker room distraction.
Trade Earl Thomas for 2 of their all-pro O-line instead.

Good for them. He is one of their best players, they should enjoy him instead of actively shopping him and unloading a bunch of their other best players - or just unload him too and commit to a full on rebuild. But for Dallas to give up a 1st and then give him a huge deal would be stupid and I hope like Hell it's not happening. There is always another player. Heck give Honey Badger a smaller deal and use the first round pick you save elsewhere. Or maybe we'll just see him next year at this time??? That way Dallas gets a stud without getting ripped off and you get your 3rd round compensation pick. Then Dallas won't be getting Earl ... Seattle isn't just gonna give the best safety in football away ...
They'd have to have the best safety in football in order to give him away. They don't.Then Dallas won't be getting Earl ... Seattle isn't just gonna give the best safety in football away ...
I'd say a 3rd rounder at best. He's going to expect to get wildly overpaid after 2018 despite the fact that he'll be 30 with a ton of injury issues. I think Dallas would be wise to just stay away. With that contract and his mileage/injury concerns, I'd say a third is more appropriate.

I think if nothing happens in the next week that a little bit down the road Sea will just sign him long term themselves.
