Poor Jalen Hurts. 26-2 as a starter and his career just ended.

Saban has to be the greatest of all-time though. I wish my teams had a coach who has that type of guts to make a change like that on a big stage.

Seemed fine to me.
You were right about a true freshman QB playing solid under pressure tonight on the biggest stage.

You just picked the wrong one.

yeah i don't get it, why the HELL did georgia's staff stop putting the ball in michel's hands??!:gaah:

You got me. Thunder just ain't gonna work against a D-line like Bama's.

Bama's D-line wearing our o-line down in the second half was the difference maker.

Most frustrating thing is Michel's style is far better suited to have success against Bama, and he did have success running the ball, but Chubb was still featured.
Most frustrating thing is some 3rd world kids are going to be running around in Georgia National Champions gear.

The 2nd half offense is not what we have run all year. Tua is not a dual threat QB even though he's got enough moves to run a read option every now and then to help keep defenses honest.

The RPO doesn't need a running QB. Oklahoma St has statues usually. You just need a guy who can make good reads and decisions. I would love to see you guys run that offense full time. With your D, people wouldn't stand a chance.

You forced Georgia to drop that 2nd safety back and with your RB's that's just deadly. It makes the defense defend the entire field horizontally. Which opens up the middle and with a good Oline and RB's, it just can't be defended for 4 quarters. I've never seen a team with Bama's talent run it before, I've always wanted to. That was fun to watch.

Georgia lost because Kirby Smart went into a shell when it was 20-10.
That is sort of true and if he does that again then that's a problem.

But the main reason they lost is because alabama is and always was the best team in the nation. Georgia was not going to win this game at any point- they had a lead that made it look like they should, but alabama felt very comfortable and georgia did not.

A loss like this of course presents a big psychological challenge to them going forward into future seasons (some teams don't ever get over things like this for long periods of time) but I think they have a lot to learn and should be a very strong team for a while. The offense could have been a little more creative down the stretch but at the same time the defense could not stop Tua and that's also an issue. The play that changed the game was the deflected INT because THAT was the play where you realized they had lost control of the game and were screwing up.

It happens. Kirby will learn, he's not quite Saban but he is brighter than most. If it happens again then you start reading into it.

I imagine most fans aren’t crying when the game is. Granted most fans arent spoiled like you (a true fan) and get in this game for the last 12 years ethier.

Shit, I don't care when it is, I would watch it a 3am on Tuesday morning. But the NFL is why it's not on Saturday.
