Yeah, I read the media responses to the game and laughed hard. If you listen/read the Oregon media you'd have thought this was a pretty even game all the way through and the ducks just came up a bit short. The reality from everyone who watched the thing was it was a very one sided game the whole way outside of less than 1 minute of the 2nd quarter when Boise tired to get cute with the statue of liberty play they entirely fucked up and an attempted forced pass that the CB covered and jumped well. Those two plays count of course, but they covered up what was a total domination on both sides of the ball. Any attempt to sugar coat that is laughable.

And of course you are also reading the obligatory the ducks didn't really want to be there nonsense. A team that didn't even make a bowl game the year before is suddenly too good to take a 3 loss team that they haven't been able to beat in prior games seriously? Thanks, but try again. If they weren't up to their playing standards blame the coaches. Blame a little bit on the distractions, but that too is on the coaches to overcome. If Crisco ball can't charge his team up for a bowl game in that situation he's not going to be able to get them up for all but a couple of games next year.

They did in 2006 (controversially) which was also the year Boise beat Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl. The year before that game in 2005 Oregon played OU in the Holiday Bowl and lost to them by a field goal.

That was done on purpose. Most OU fans refuse to acknowledge the loss. I can think of a number of times over the years that Boise got screwed by the refs at the very end to cost us the game but no matter how it happened those were all still losses at the end of the day.
