No doubt — OSU did outgain them on offense, but you are ignoring all the return yards by PSU which took away from their offensive output. I don’t know how much they had, but I know they had like a 100 yarder to start the game and another for 50 or 60.

I give OSU props for their offense against PSU, they got the momentum late and rode it to a crazy comeback win with 5 minutes to go.

Still doesn’t change my opinion. I think OSU is a very good team, but I think PSU would fair better against the better defenses. Both have good QB’s (slight nod to Barrett), both have good RB’s (Barkley gets the nod), but I’ll take Gisicki and Hamilton over Campbell and Baugh, because the better defenses are going to play tight coverage and they showed me they are physical enough to beat it.

Defensively I’d give the nod to OSU, but you have to put points on the board to beat the better teams and I’d take PSU’s offense over OSU if I’m playing teams like Clemson, Auburn, Oklahoma, etc That is just my opinion.
Honest question - why? Over Dobbins?

"I understand that literally everything objective and measurable says that tOSU is a better team than PSU, but I don't think they are."

That topic is boring. OSU wins by 10+ whether or not Barrett plays. Wisconsin won’t be able to keep up offensively.

I'm starting to think you are going for a reverse jinx, you sneaky skunkweasel

That was a no brainer. He is the most complete RB in the B1G, since Zeke. It is why he was 1st team all-Big over Taylor (2nd team) and Dobbins (3rd team). He rushed for 1100+ yards, had almost 600 yards receiving and 19 tds. He also returned kicks.

If I were choose a dynasty team where I got to keep the player more than a year — I’d take Dobbins all day long.

Doesn’t mean I don’t think Dobbins is good. He is. Barkley is a top 10-15 NFL pick right now and most likely will be 1st team all-American too.

Well, you know, he watched a couple games, so. . .

The B1G agrees. Dobbins wasn’t even the best freshman RB in the B1G. Taylor from Wisconsin got that nod.

Dobbins is still a heck of a RB and better than anything UM has had in quite some time.

No reverse jinx. I’ve said from the get, OSU will win. I don’t see Wisconsin being able to score enough to win.

Honest question - why? Over Dobbins?

Here’s an honest question for:

DE 28 tackles, 12 TFL, 6 sacks
DT 59 tackles, 13.5 TFL, 5 sacks

Which one is the defensive lineman of the year in the B1G?

I’m a straight shooter. I said from the get, OSU will beat Wisconsin, but it won’t matter and Bama will get the CFP spot.

Edited to add — I will be rooting for OSU too, because I don’t want to see the B1G get embarrassed for a 3rd year in a row.

So you're rooting for the team that was beat 31-0 last year in the CFP and are far worse this year. That makes sense.

Badgers have carried the BIG in bowls over the last three years now. If anything we wouldn't want MSU or OSU in based off recent history.

So Barrett is going to play, hurt?

Meyer almost HAS TO give the ball to the RBs now, right? Can't run a bunch of QB runs with a damaged QB.

Hopefully they don't decide to replace the mass amounts of QB runs with that awful Jet Sweep play to Campbell that loses yards every time or those awful slow developing swing passes that get blown up 95% of the time.

I’ve said I don’t want any team from the B1G in the CFP, because I think OSU or Wisconsin get hammered if they go.

If OSU wins, I think Bama gets in over them. I think the only way the B1G gets a team is if Wisconsin wins. (Which I don’t see happening anyways — see slow starts and Hornibrook as the QB)

I honestly wouldn’t have the slightest idea and definitely don’t want to look up snap counts for CFB players.

My guess is both played in some sort of rotation and both sat out the backend of some lopsided games? I do know the DT was rated the #1 defensive player, regardless of position, by PFF. (But I’m not going to pretend I know what that means, because all the new metrics give me headaches)

If OSU win they're in since the Committee responds to teams with wins over top 5 teams and boosts them up.

Show me the last time Wisconsin was destroyed over the last two seasons. Sorry, that doesn't happen with this defense.

OSU will be lucky to score more than one TD in this game. I can't see them doing anything with a bad pass offense. Wisconsin shuts down their rush attack easily and then they're done. It will be strip sacks and pick sixes from there on out. On the flip side, I've seen nothing showing that OSU's charmin soft defense can stop Wisconsin. This is the best O-line and pure runner they've faced all year and they allowed 245 yards to Iowa. IOWA!!!.

Badgers do start slow but mainly it's on purpose. They play conservative in the first half just to test out the opponent and see how they react. Then in the second half they make their adjustments and dominate. It's basically, what Floyd Mayweather did to McGregor. He let him believe he was in the match and then in the later rounds he destroyed him. Badgers are statistically the best all around team in the second half. In the fourth Q they outscore their opponent 118-0 (not including garbage time when backups allowed 3 total TD's). Last year their weakness was finishing games which is why they couldn't put away OSU, Michigan and PSU despite being tied or having huge leads in all those games. Now, the team is not only better on offense and defense but they've learned to step on the throat of teams in the second half.
