Interesting option, NFL offensive coordinators are hit or miss. could succeed in the SEC
I'd hire him just on his name alone.

SEC on CBS could really use some more entertainment
hearing Jim Bob Cooter 80 times during Tennessee games would help with that
Next week will make 4 weeks in a row that UGA has been the 3:30 game on CBS, and 5th of the season.

3:30 > Noon with bullshit announcers
True. Just shows how down the SEC is though. You have 3 good teams and 3 decent teams and then a bunch of crap.

Didn’t Gundy flirt with uTenn awhile back?
I had actually wondered why he had done that with Gundy coaching at his alma mater. And Arky. When you have more success than anyone at your school has seen before yet a billionaire booster still shits on you, exploring options isn't out of the question.
Hopefully everyone is happy right now

Someone folks are mentioning is Mullen
I'm not sure Tennessee wants that. Mullen would definitely have the program in better shape but as proven last night and in prior games Mullen is not a big game coach, Tennessee will have some 10 win seasons under him but they won't beat Bama
If I were Mullen, I'd rather keep the job at Miss State. As long as the team is competitive, you're never on the hotseat. Tennessee isn't an easy job. No in state talent and a fanbase that expects to compete for titles every season,
Tennessee actually has plenty of in-state talent, about on par with Louisiana and Ohio. Not on the level of Texas, Florida, California or Georgia, but we're not Iowa, either. If I were Mullen, I'd rather keep the job at Miss State.
