Heard the clown is still in a cell. Probably shittin his pants and hoping daddy can come save him.
Everything else says that he's been released and confined to a hotel room. You have people who know differently?

We'll see about Ball. He can't shoot, he's slow on the dribble, doesn't play defense. Maybe he can run the point and become a poor man's Jason Kidd?
lol @both of you who obviously don't watch basketball.
I've been critical of Lonzo and my biggest concern has always been about his shot mechanics -- but saying he wasn't a 1st rounder is insane. At the very worst, he was a top 10 draft prospect. I can see the arguments for Fultz, Tatum, Jackson, Fox, Smith, and maybe Markkanen, Monk, and Isaac over him in the draft -- but that's really only because this was a pretty solid draft at the top this year and each of those guys is either extremely athletic (Jackson, Fox, Isaac) or does something really well that projects well to the NBA (Tatum, Markkanen, Monk) or a combination of both (Smith, Fultz).
But there's no way to get around the fact that Lonzo was a very impressive prospect and that, honestly, his rookie season has not been as bad as people are saying. He can't help that his dad hypes him up so much. Take away his dad and no one would even care that he's been struggling with his shot.
Off topic but does Lonzo even wear his own shoes in games?
Yeah, that shot needs some serious work, imo. Luke's doesn't seem worried, so I guess I won't be either. lol
His Dad is the biggest problem, imo. He set it up so that a rookie season that isn't at least as good as Magic Johnson's is looked at as a failure by some.
So far, my only complaint is with his shot. Even his defense has been okay. Mostly because the Lakers are playing good team defense right now. Hopefully that can continue because he ain't locking anybody down 1 on 1.

I'm guessing this is how you communicate with your sources...Heard the clown is still in a cell. Probably shittin his pants and hoping daddy can come save him.
Yep. People that no more way more about basketball than me thought enough of him to make him the #2 overall pick but then again so were Chris Washburn and Sam Bowie. His stats are almost identical to Kidd in his first season.
There is no doubt that, like Kidd, Lonzo needs to work on his shot. So far, Luke doesn't seem worried about it. I know that with Lonzo directing the offense, the Lakers have some of the best ball movement I've seen from them in years. Maybe since Showtime. But that shot is worrisome. He's going to need to make teams respect his ability to shoot. If he can get to around 42% overall, he should be ok. Still not a good percentage, but enough that teams won't be able to ignore his shooting.
As for defense, Lonzo isn't and never will be a "lockdown defender." But the Lakers are currently ranked 7th in overall defense (who saw that coming?). So, at least he seems able to play team defense.
Yep. His dad is his worst enemy as far as scrutiny goes.I've been critical of Lonzo and my biggest concern has always been about his shot mechanics -- but saying he wasn't a 1st rounder is insane. Ha! You must be easily impressed. He looks lost out there to me and, to be frank, somewhat disinterested on the defensive side. His defense has been a pleasant surprise. Defense and an ability to get teammates involved are the foundation for a starting point guard. Lonzo has shown he can provide solid defense and he's got an elite ability to get his teammates involved. If the shot comes, he'll be a very good player. If it doesn't come, he's still a 10+ year starting PG in this league. My guess is that he's going to be erratic most his career with shooting and that he'll have some bad years and some good years. But heck, we're still only 10 games into his career. It's impossible to project.

He doesn't seem like the type of player who will quit trying to work on his game though so we'll see.

Washburn had the misfortune of going to the Warriors. He got into cocaine was unwilling to work on his game. He was the Shaquille O'Neal of his era in college at NC State though. Just never got better.Don't remember much about Washburn, but Bowie was as good as advertised. Problem was, he was picked ahead of MJ and injuries ruined his career. People forget that when the Blazers took him over MJ, they already had a guy named Clyde Drexler who turned out to be pretty good.
I watched them play the opener against the Clippers and I watched the Jazz game. He was awful. I think he had 3 points and was -16 or something against the Clips and had 9 points and was -19 or 20 against the weak Jazz. Those are some pretty shitty numbers and seem to show that when he is on the floor, the team struggles. How the hell would you know? The Lakers haven't played the Warriors yet and you admitted in your own "Bitch About The Warriors Superthread" that you watch very little basketball outside of the Warriors.

I just can't understand. What was the motive to steal when you have a brother with a GUARANTEED 7 figure NBA contract & a business brand that bears your family name? Every family has that one.If they did this, they are in hot shit.
Way to screw your life up over some fucking sunglasses....smdh
Thats cute....why are you butthurt that he actually sucks? Levar? Is that you?lol @both of you who obviously don't watch basketball.
