15,000 people in the stands with a small hurricane and a passing team = loss
Colorado isn't what they were last year. It might not end pretty, but I still fully expect a WSU win in the end.

Cats went to two OT to beat Cal by 1? Wow. And it looks like it was a blown PAT/2PT that ended it.

Win is a win, but you gotta do better than that against a young struggling Cal team if you want to have cache for the run at the south title.

ASU v USC has suddenly become a hell of an interesting game.

Yikes, kind of embarrassing seeing the stands at WSU. Stadium is at 35% capacity, tops.
Way too late of a start. 65% of the student population is way passed out by 8pm on a Saturday.

Valid.

My freshmen year, only about half my pledge class made it to the game regardless of start time. But we all started 7 hours before the game.

Students have never been good at attending games especially if it's the same now as it was back in the day. For a night game you had to attend either the volleyball or girls basketball game just to get a ticket if you were an underclassmen. The pass really fudged alumni with RV's.

honestly I don't blame kids for not going to an expected easy/big win game late night in shitty weather these days.

I see the days of the big stadium and massive sell outs for every game drawing to an end.

Well ya, it's the catch 22 of having these mega television deals. It will be interesting in the next round of negotiations when the tv bubble is either/has or is in the process of bursting. It is the only thing the Pac 12 has done with their deal, since they own their content. The SEC and B1G are dead when Disney either goes bankrupt or kills ESPN off.

So

USC gets smoked and will fall hard. Playoff hopes entirely gone, but still leads the south race.

ASU put in a second straight week of impressive football. Plays USC next week and probably have a few asses puckered up in SC land.

Arizona survived Cal. Still hanging in the standings, but Cal?

UCLA beat up on the ducks, but not sure what that says about either that we didn't know?

Cougs rolled the buffs rather easily, but didn't feel like they lived up to their potential for the game so more slamming his own players in pressers this week for Leach? :noidea:

Trees and dawgs eating popcorn and taking it all in.

And somehow my wife is smarter than Larry Scott.

Wife "why is this game on so late"
Me "they say it gives us national exposure"
Wife "How is it national exposure when everyone else is asleep"
Me "Well ratings are good on the east coast"
Wife "There are more bars on the east coast, doesn't mean anyone is watching this game"

What ESPN actually said when they slammed Petersen in that game was that they had a 36% on the west coast for these games. That was supposed to refute his claim that it limited east coast exposure. Seriously, that's what they were claiming.

I mean no shit it gets a higher viewership for the west coast vs when it was Mac games. I mean duh? :noidea:

True, except every other team would have a least one quality win. If USC loses today you guys will not have 1 quality opponent all year.
Self loathing coug fans... :tsk:

we @ State simply carried the party right into the stadium in collapsable 5 gallon containers, of course by halftime we all left due to our beloved beavers getting waxed. the parties continued to raged into the night.
