It's not all the coaches fault. The forwards don't want to play D and the actual D is mediocre on a good day. And their goalie sucks. Jets are lottery bound until they win 9 of their last 11 to finish 6 points out of the last playoff spot. Rinse and repeat.

Mrs 43 and I were just dating (she still went by her maiden name, Miss 27) and I was introducing her to hockey. I explained goaltending as best I could and took her to a Caps game. It was Tabaracci's home debut for the Caps.

About 15 minutes in she said "I thought you said he is supposed to stay in front of the net?"

By the end of the game, she was screaming at him to get back in net every time he wandered.



To this day, she does not like wandering goalies. When our son goes to play the puck, she lights him up. GET BACK! GET BACK!
