Everyone wants to believe WSU will win this game and why not? Cougs haven't been on the road yet this year and this is their 5th straight home game. They have looked solid against teams clearly not capable of playing at their level. USC has struggled a bit in a few of their games, but found ways to win. That's what overpowering teams with a substantial talent discrepancy do. They don't have to always play to their potential to eventually win.
We don't know what WSU's defense is this year because it hasn't been tested. At all. Not even a little bit. Their offense has been very good, but against no one.
We also know that historically WSU finds ever increasingly more impressive ways of losing against highly ranked teams. You just can't trust them to put it all together on both sides of the ball for 4 full quarters.
For USC yeah, because for whatever reason they haven't looked good early in the season. For most other team? Get the tough ones out of the way before those more challenging teams reach their full stride. Particularly when you out talent them.Whoever scheduled this year for USC should be fired. Stanford, Texas, @ Cal, and a short week for game @ WSU. That is rough.
And lol @ including Cal.Whoever scheduled this year for USC should be fired. Stanford, Texas, @ Cal, and a short week for game @ WSU. That is rough.
It's USC's own doing. The CAL-4 schools insist on playing each other every year instead of rotating like the rest of the PAC schools along with playing ND every year. With that said, nobody in college football schedules better OCC match-ups than SC.Whoever scheduled this year for USC should be fired. Stanford, Texas, @ Cal, and a short week for game @ WSU. That is rough.
Oh good, another fantastic game the Pac 12 doesn't want the East Coast to watch.....Conservatively, it will be over around 1:30-2am Eastern time.
But either way, USC is bad and they'll probably lose.
They have played every single team close so far and have played some stinkers.
And they've won those games. SC has depth and that depth is going to show as the season wears on and injuries start to add up.They have played every single team close so far and have played some stinkers.
