I am beginning to think no one here watched the game. the Defense did an outstanding job. They got burned early but made awesome adjustments. Offense did well too, but I am curious as to on a huge 4th down and short play they didn't review the spot when a 6'6 QB takes off running and it is close enough to where they have to bring out the chains to measure...............
So you think it's a good night for any defense in D1 to give up over 450y 4TD's, 3FG and a total of 37 points?

Not trolling you here bro. Asking a legit question because that's insane.

:L just like every score is reviewed so to are game CHANGING calls or spots. Review that and Oregon gets the first down by inches is my guess.
Pretty sure spot challenges are not automatic at any point.

Just like I asked a legit question and everyone just takes a leak on it? Just dose it with the garden hose?

Oregon got hit early on defense, ASU got 17 points quick. Ducks then made adjustments and held Arizona to nothing practically in the second quarter. It was a great chess match, and Oregons defense did very well.

CRYING ABOUT ONE PLAY!!??!?!?!? IT BASICALLY DECIDED THE MOTHER CAST BALL GAME BRO?!!!!!

Its a pretty damn BIG PLAY IF YOU ASK ME. IT was close enough to where they had to measure the SPOT WITH THE STICKS and yet no review of the actual spot was made!?? What?? Why not? I ask why not? It's a valid question that SHOULD be asked.
Well, every play is reviewed, they just stop the game to review further if they need to, they had plenty of time to take a second look at it with the measurement, and clearly didn't feel they needed to spend more time. And again, they rarely do a full review of spots, my guess is because it sets a bad precedent, games would never end of they start that chicken shit. Your piss poor defense decided the game, not one spot.

:L 4th down bring out the chains to measure and its the 4th quarter with just over 1 minute remaining, ball at midfield.

You review the spot when its that close.

You may wish that is automatic, but post a link where it actually is? Again, I'm not trolling you at all.

I get it though, 'Ol Petersen and his chess game he plays every Saturday may bore many of you. I heard he talked to Kasparov this off season about ways to speed up his style.

:dhd:

UW won their boring game by 27 points. How was your chess match?

Wait, your D had a great night because they held ASU scoreless for the second quarter? ASU scored 17 in the first, 14 in the third, and 6 in the 4th. By any measure that's not a good defensive night. You can't give up 37 points and think it's a good night. Hell, ASU fans will say they didn't have a great night defensively and yet theirs was marginally better than yours. If UW gave up 37 to someone but scored 39 themselves we would still say it wasn't a good night on defense (for both teams).

I just don't get how you can claim anything positive from that unit when it gave up 37 points.

You didn't watch the game so you didn't get the feel of what was going on.

So your D had a great night after making 'adjustments' in the second quarter. I mean they did give up 20 points in the second half, but ok?

And you only lost because the refs screwed you with a ball placement on a desperate 4th down conversion attempt that Herbert couldn't covert with conviction?

If any other fan base tried that you would be destroying them up here and you know it.

I had it split screened on my PC with the ducks on one side and the hoop on the other while watching UW on the big screen. So yeah, I did watch it, but didn't see every play closely.

We also watched the entire 4th quarter as our game was fully in hand by then. I know full well what I saw and that defense didn't win the day.

37 bro. I mean come on. When is giving up 37 EVER a good day in football? That's a serious question.

 there's no way to sugar coat giving up 37 points dude, that's not one you can pass off on "well, it didn't feel like they were as awful as they were..."

Today we learned it's The same Oregon from last year. No defense with an offense that won't hold up to any team with a defense. You'll be lucky to make a bowl.

Every defense gets some stops and gives up some yards. Ultimately they should be graded mostly on how many points they allowed. Score wins games. 37 is not good. I only see one duck turnover and that was a fumble. Was that taken back to the house? Because if not then all 37 was entirely on their shoulders.

I also see that ASU punted 3 times in the game and lost one fumble.

So the ducks defense was responsible for a grand total of 4 stops out of the entire game that didn't end in scores.

ASU scored on 7 drives and were stopped 4 times.
