And nope, don't think very highly of myself. I know what I am- a moderately overweight 20 year old who shuns any large advancements in friendships or romantic relationships in favor of the Phillies, the Eagles, school, and watching films and television shows. I also have moderately bad acne, and ADHD and pretty severe OCD.

But at least I'm not from Maryland.
I am from South Jersey. I live in MD.

I don't recall that thread.

and I am referring to all your posts. You're book and movie reviews that portray you as a self righteous ass who thinks his opinion is gold.
Again, you're free to think that. But you may be confusing my posts on the Phillies or baseball with my posts about films. I have strong, and sometimes lengthy, personal opinions on films, but have always maintained that enjoyment of films is 100% subjective. In fact, I have said that while others, like @chf have dissented and said that some films are objectively good or bad.

My posts about baseball, something far more objective, can sometimes be mean on the other hand. I mean, when you have people on the Phillies' board saying we'll win 95 games this year in early May, or that Maikel Franco will be an MVP candidate at the beginning of the year, and then make fun of me when I point out they're wrong; yeah, I can be an asshole.

It was hard for anyone to "like" A Feast Of Crows. Definitely my least favorite and the hardest to sink my teeth into. I suppose it was necessary as A Dance With Dragons started tying characters and plots together which I presume will continue with Winds Of Winter but the volume of new characters in Crows was a lot to digest.
Yeah, I largely heard the same thing about AFOC.

Yeah, I largely heard the same thing about AFOC.

It was a tough read - especially after A Storm Of Swords. Everything that happened in that book and then to almost completely change the timelines and character roster entirely... took a lot of concentration.

Maybe he gave up on the show too soon. I recently saw a theory that probably won't turn out to be true but it involves some fire "arms" of sorts.

I re-watched the last season, and I have no idea where the Lannisters and Cersei are going to get troops from to even have a hope against an invader. There's nobody left. Old lady Tyrell is in Dorne, the Greyjoy uncle isn't going to have land troops. Who else is there?

Telltale signs include being outraged about something I cannot control, proposing ridiculous and illogical solutions, exclamation marks, and usages of the phrase "WTF"...

Except those don't stand out around the Hoop in the least. They're not telltale signs, they're boringly commonplace. Mundane.

Lol. Maybe so. A lot of idiots on this forum. So much so, that someone claiming guns in GOT seems normal

I think that the Laws of Gods and Men should be ranked much higher. I loved watching Tyrion knowing that the whole trial was a farce from the beginning (with Cersei, Veres and Pycelle) and then after he finds out Jaime and Tywin made a deal during the recess, he can't keep his composure when Shay is the final person to testify. Seeing him snap and go on his rant after Shay's final lie is easily my favorite Tyrion scene as you can see at the end of the episode, he takes great pleasure in ruining Tywin's plans.

I have written that second sentence multiple times as I did the same thing.

But I just remember grinning while watching the Red Wedding episode with friends and them freaking out. Part of me wishes I was freaking out with them.

Heh, yes I got the "Non Book-reader freakout" here... It was pretty epic. Not gonna lie... :D

I just wonder if the shock from reading the book was as good as the shock from watching the show. There is no way to actually know the answer to that.

I can probably rank the books better than I can rank the episodes or seasons.

I thought A Golden Crown would be rated much higher than 38. That was the episode that really got me into it.

We get Bronn's trial by combat at the Eyrie.

Ned finally figures out what Jon Arryn had learned, that Robert's supposed children are not really his.

And of course the Golden Crown itself at the end where the series' first major(ish) character dies a pretty gruesome death.

Yeah, was going to say this was a pretty good one. I am trying to get my wife watching it and she's dragging along. This episode is next up for her.

I have told her to give in one season. If you don't like it at the end of Season 1, then you probably aren't going to...

Yeah, obviously can't answer that, but... I am happy that I had really not paid ANY attention to any GoT commentary anywhere before deciding to start watching it... So I truly had zero idea this was coming...

Starts when the band changes the music (Forget the name of the song, but the episode is named after it IIRC)...

I noticed that and was like, "Hmmm... What's going on here?".

Then Catlyn peels back Roos Bolton's sleeve to see he is wearing his armor underneath and was like.... Hmmm, that probably doesn't bode well....

And then BOOM!!! All hell breaks loose...

LOL!!!

When all done was like, "Holy shit!!! What just happened?!!!"

That's about the best I can describe it... :D

Its better on the show than the book imo. To my knowledge, its the one scene that made them want to do the show in the first place.

I'm not sure its the best episode as a whole, though, but that scene is just crazy.

I was reading it like "oh well a boring wedding lalala"

then shit started getting weird and I had to go back and read from the beginning since I wasn't fully paying attention.

Then I had to read it again.

Then I threw my book.

Then I picked it up and kept reading.

And I'd say that Arya giving Walder Fray the business, alone, is enough to vault the last episode of Season 6 into the top 10...
