Since the Red Sox team board is crappier than a Helmet toss by Harper I will put this poll here as well

Question:

Should John Farrell Stay as the Manager of the Red Sox or Should he be fired?

Fired

When Farrell took time off for his illness, Lovullo proved Farrell was an average manager at best

I think he underachieves with that roster big time

managers get way too much credit and way too much blame

too much credit for 2013
too much blame for 2017:suds:

The Red Sox should have fired him at the end of last season and given the job to Torey Lovullo. Now they are stuck with Dudley Doo-Right and we Sox fans get to watch shitty baseball played by uninspired players.

That exchange in the dugout seemed like it went like this:

Farrell: "Umm hey Chris, your pitch count is a bit high, I think maybe I should pull you"
Sale: "Fuck you John, I'm going another inning"
Farrell: "Oh okay sorry to bother you"

Yeah I think losing Lovullo and Hazen were underrated losses. Hazen was really the last piece from that stage of really good player development the Sox went through.

I think that organization knew Lovullo was the guy they wanted, but firing Farrell returning from Cancer, was something no organization would do

Well, maybe George in the 80's would have

That's why I felt they didn't fire him after 2015 and a 2nd straight last place finish. But I think the reason they didn't fire him last year didn't have to do with the cancer, but more about the fact that they won the division.
