If you are a fan of Twin Peaks and you have not heard yet, Showtime has picked the series up and it will run for 9 episodes starting in 2016. From what I have read, most of the influential characters will be back. Can't wait myself!

I never actually saw the original, but it is on my "todo" list.

Will this be a sequel or a reboot?

Didn't they already do the reunion on Psych during the last season?

This is a sequel I think following some years after the Laura Palmer murders but not much has been spoken about it in terms of story line. From what I understand though people like Agent Cooper will be back though. I would definitely watch it because I wonder if Cooper will be the protagonist or the antagonist as (*WARNING* **spoiler alert**) he appears to be the new Bob at the end of the original series.

Looks like David Lynch (producer of the original series) has backed out because Showtime wouldn't give him enough time and money to write the script the way he thought it should be done. What is cool though is the original cast from the series has weighed in on this according to their own character traits from the show....

This needs A bump. First time I've been excited about A show in A long time. The best show of all time imo

This was another show I TRIED to watch, but just couldnt stomach it.

The constant jazzy soundtrack in the background made me want to stick an ice-pick in my ears.

Have you seen the first 4 episodes yet. A little different than the original. I was expecting that being on showtime. But its actually a lot darker than the original.Definitely more brutal Don't want to describe it too much spoilers en sech

I really liked it. Decided to check out Showtime and subscribe for a year at half rate just to see it. It is very dark and took a while to get the ball rolling in the first episode of the new season but the end was just classic twin peaks.

I am surprised not many others have watched this - it is a classic and with the series now being on Showtime, Frost and Lynch can actually have free reign to go super dark and violent. So far the critics seem to give Lynch a thumbs up on this.

Also loving seeing Bob's version of Dale Cooper (also known as Cooper's Doppleganger) have free reign on the outside...

That ending of episode 1 was great. I like what lynch has done without the censorship. Are you through the first 4 episodes too?

The original started in 1990 and lasted two seasons. That time in my life was for many other things other than watching the tube. Never cared to watch it later on in life and now it seems crazy that a show that only lasted 2 seasons gets another life 25 years or so later.

I have only seen the first episode and about to watch the second to tonight. I just have regular Showtime so watching them as they broadcast on TV. Also one thing that others seem to miss - Lynch intentionally left the series open ended 25 years ago for the option to restart it if he and Frost wished. I think it's pretty bad ass he followed through.

I partied one night with a girlfriend circa 1997 and happened across a Twin Peaks marathon like at 3am or something. We binged watched that marathon for a full day and then some. Got hooked then and had a blast of sex, beer and that damn show....

If I had to watch a show to get laid, I would enjoy every minute of both.
