Both teams have gotten away with high sticks and both teams have gotten away with trips in the OT. The refs are not going to call anything unless it is really blatant.

The view from overhead looks like the puck went in. The view from in front of the net clearly shows that it did not. They made the right call.

Yup! Exactly my point, The right call was clearly made, only that wasn't made clear to the fans in attendance.

I'm home alone because my roommate is out of town and my Pens fan friend isn't available, three beers in and standing right next to the TV, hands on my knees, talking to it.
