The good news is at least this near's "Let's shit the bed" game is out of the way and it wasn't a conference game loss this year. It literally happens at LEAST once every year since Harsin became the head coach and it shows no signs of stopping. BUT at least now it's done and over (we hope).
More good news is despite the fact that Boise State was thoroughly outplayed, outcoached (particularly), out-tricked and out-prepared, Boise State was one missed field goal away from taking that awful game to overtime. The usually dependable short-distance field goal kicker missed a 36 yard FG attempt half way thru the 3rd quarter (meaning the ball was on the BYU 19 yard line). He had made 9 of 10 attempts prior to that missed FG. Including a 38 yarder in the 2nd quarter of the BYU game.
