July 3: LHP David Peterson goes on paternity leave; RHP Colin Holderman recalled from Triple-A Syracuse
Peterson can miss up to three days for the birth of his first child, meaning he may start as soon as Wednesday in Cincinnati -- though that will also depend upon the status of fellow starter Chris Bassitt, who is on the COVID IL. In the interim, the Mets promoted Holderman from Triple-A Syracuse to take Peterson’s roster spot. -- Anthony DiComo
