"Sources" have indicated that the Hawks preferred to move Crawford, but his camp made it clear they would make every effort to block that possibility. They wanted to re-sign Darling, but he wanted to test the market so they moved him rather than risk losing him for nothing.

I kinda find that hard to believe, I think Crow would like to go to Canada eventually. He was still making some great saves, but showed he is a 3 goal average guy with the old defenders ahead of him.

Darling ends up with a 4.15 average 4 year deal. Hope he gets at least half the starts next year for Carolina, Q did not use him enough this year. Should not matter if Crow is playing well or not when your backup had a great season.

Unfortunately, I think he's going to find out just how much playing behind a good team helps your stats...wish him the best, though.

Sounds like Anisimov is being shopped, but would have to waive his NMC.

After moving Danault and Teuvo, I thought the centers would be thin, now Schmaltz and Kero show they belonged, neither is the big body that Panarin and Kane need creating havoc at the net. Rasmussen is a big physical guy looks right for the fourth line. They always said he was a true center and did not want to force him to wing. Its going to be interesting if Vegas takes Krueger or the hawks are able to move him. Sure seems like Vegas is gonna want to spend some money.

But if they are really shopping the only one left from the Saad deal, someone Bowman has wanted for years, maybe there is more heat all over that front office than we thought.

I think Bowman may be realizing just how important faceoffs are to a puck possession style. Anisimov is terrible in that area, and combined with Kruger's wrist issues helped the Hawks % to plummet. In my personal, albeit rather limited opinion, the Panarin-Anisimov-Kane line is great in the regular season but not one you can win with in the playoffs. Then again, we're not REALLY sure how healthy Anisimov was when he returned.

I dont even think Anisimov was 50% when he returned. Thats one thing Q did, was see that he was not there, then figure he will be back in a few games. When he gave the faceoffs to Kero in game 4 it showed he probably should have been a scratch, but did have the presence for the kane goal.
