Day to Day
The Red Sox made it back to the ALDS and were kicked out in 4 games, one better than 2016.
What needs to done??
1. Fire Dave Drombowski.............this guy doesn't have a clue. The guy that could have been in the Red Sox dugout was in the Astros dugout. Dave Verlander. DD just couldn't bring himself to make a deal with the team that he screwed up.
2. Fire John Ferrell.........This team wins in spite of him, not because of him. He may be the worst 'in game' manager ever to manage a baseball team.
3. Say farewell to Dustin Pedroia. When he was out on the DL, the RS played .800 baseball. As soon as he came back they lost 5 in a row. He sat out three games and they won them all.
4. Move on from Hanley Rameriz. He had a great playoff but wasn't what was needed in the regular season. He did the "TEAM" interview and was the "TEAM" guy. He's not that guy.
5. Learn from the mistakes you made. You didn't sign Encarcion after he all but begged you to sign him and ended up on the Indians for cheap money. He would have hit 50+ HRs in Fenway.
This team puts 3,000,000 butts in the seats every year. If this team doesn't start playing games under 3 hours and have a couple of players fans can get hooked on, the attendance will be below 2M within the next 5 years.
If DD is allowed to stay, he'll pretty much stand pat and the American League will pass him and the Red Sox by........................Pitching may win in the playoffs but you have score at least one more run that your opponent.
