I wonder if somebody in the Lions locker room should go over to Andrew Harris and tell him to stop running his mouth?

Geroy Simon is a question mark as Coach Chamblin sees 10 days between #ARgos and #Ticats as great time to have him good to go in Week 4.

this one made me chuckle monday

Geroy tweeted this:

Geroy Simon ‏@geroysimon 8 Jul 25 min of stretching with my daughter! An 8 yr old kicked my azz! She makes it look so easy!

you can guess the type of responses he got lol

which led to this:

Geroy Simon ‏@geroysimon 8 Jul Please believe I don't care about your negativity or thoughts about what's best. I'll do what's best for my team and family!

Riders coming off a short week and pound Toronto in Hogtown last night. Kory Sheets with another monster game running the ball.

Stamps not great but effective in a 22-14 win over the Als. Former QB Brad Sinopili with some nice catches as a wideout.

/Also, if Shea Emry isn't the dirtiest player in the league, he's gotta be top 5.

Best vs Least certainly applies so far.

West combined: 7W - 3L.... East is 3W - 7L
Last place team in west has 2 pts. Top team in east has 2.
that goodness for the crossover playoff spot.

In other news, Leos held the Esks to 3 points tonight - in Edmonton.
so that's nice.

I watched most of the Eskimos game a week ago. If there's a worse team in the CFL I really don't know how it's possible. I think last years Alabama team would kick their ASS.

Edmonton runs their football team in much the same way as its hockey team.

last year, they were acquiring every running back on the market. I think they had 5 RBs on the team at one point, (three of them were relative stars on their former team) and they all died on the vine in Edmonton.
For years, they had ONE good asset, QB Rickey Ray. GM Eric Tillman* traded him to Toronto for a shit QB in return, and was then fired the GM before the playoffs started. Of course, Rickey Ray proceeded to knock the Eskimos out of the playoffs, and win the Grey Cup that very season.
Tinfoil hat time on that trade, it was the CFL's 100th year, the Grey Cup was hosted by Toronto that year, and the CFL needed to make a huge marketing splash for the game. That's a lot easier with the home team in the finals, which is a lot easier with one of the top QBs in the league gifted to you. The QB that came back to Edm in the trade played 8 games, lost his starting job and was released.

* Tillman had been charged with sexual assault on a 16 year old girl in Saskatchewan, and subsequently released from the Roughriders. It took the Esks less than a year to say, Oh that's OK we'll hire him anyway.

Not to pile on to puck's post, but Eskimos head coach Kavis Reed signed an extension just over a week ago. I like this new version of 'The Eskimo Way'.

/God bless Eric Tillman for the word he did in Edmonton.

#CFL confirms that Parades FG streak is intact. Blocked FG behind line is ruled a fumble. So he will go for 30 in a row next week vs Wpg.

:bullshit:

Leos took both ends of a home and home against Edmonton, which is nice.

Finally saw the Stamps - Als game yesterday, terrible start, but a great comeback by Calgary to sweep the home-and-home agianst Montreal. Dan Hawkins won't last long as Als coch if he doesn't get his team under control, very undisciplined (yes you could say dirty) from several of his players.

/Regarding Parades and the consecutive FG streak, yeah that is one hokey rule.
//How do you not score even a single point in a CFL game? (Ti-Cats lose 37-0 to Saskybush). You would think a rouge would sneak in at some point?

Riders fans jihading the TSN Fan Choice poll - Yeah, like we really want to see a 37-0 drubbing re-broadcast on TSN2 tomorrow night :L

/Hopefully, common sense will prevail and the correct game (Montreal vs. Calgary) will be shown.

Drew Tate just threw a ball... With his right arm. Looks like he's back at it #calstampeders #cfl

That's good news considering Kevin Glenn injured his elbow last game. Bo Levi Mitchell looked pretty good in relief.

wow ... didnt think it was a long term thing

Arash Madani ‏@ArashMadani 2h Reading between lines on Ricky Ray situation: #Argos likely won't 9-game him. But won't give too much info for competitive advantage reasons

Sounds like he's day-to-day until further notice...Also, a couple of pretty good linebackers were cut loose today by their respective teams (Brandon Issac by the Argos and Markeith Knowlton by the Ti-Cats).
