Historically dominant, how

I don’t agree this early because there are too many unknowns. One, I’ve read the interior OLine has looked poor and know one knows when Brooks will be ready (but he is an excellent G). Also I know know if Jordan Howard is still on the decline and even though everyone is raving about Miles Sanders he is still an unknown at RB. But if the Guard play comes together and one of those two are a legit threat it could be an outstanding offense.
Alshon is a good (not great WR)
Agholor is one of the better slot guys
Desean is perfect for this team. Every year the bring in a pure speed guy and he is still a threat
Ertz is a top TE
Goedert is going to be a Star TE in this league. He is special.

If we get a run game going they will be a top O on the MFL.

And then after that they lost their MVP QB and still went onto win the Super Bowl in a postseason that included blowing out the #1 ranked defense in the NFL in the NFC Championship Game and then in the Super Bowl they dropped the most points ever on a BB coached team in the postseason and that was done with a journeyman backup QB.

Historically dominant team.

Totally agree that they can be outstanding if things come together this year. Expecting them to be historically dominant and pretending that they were two years ago is silly

I really like the WRs but they aren’t good enough to be historically dominant.

When you are talking about historically dominant teams then the metric of scoring as many points while holding teams to as few of points as historically dominant teams is metric enough that tells you all you need to know. Those teams were all all-timers even the two that lost the Super Bowl (84 Dolphins & 07 Patriots). And guess what, the Eagles won the Super Bowl.

I don't even know how someone could even question the 2017 Eagles being a historically dominant team. That was essentially a 14-2 Super Bowl winning team that was 13-3 because they lost a week 17 game 6-0 when they weren't playing any of their starters. They weren't some team that backed into the playoffs or was up and down the whole year and just managed to get hot at the right time. The team ripped off 9 straight wins during the meat of the season where they were just flat out blowing the doors off of teams on a weekly basis with a QB that looked like he was going to be the runway MVP before he got injured. They were so historically dominant that despite losing their QB playing like the league MVP they were still able to hold it together long enough for the backup QB to get the offense back into it's full power explosive ways and go onto to win the Super Bowl against the greatest HC and QB in league history.

Totally wrong. When you have to justify things like pretend they were a 14-2 team, which they were not, you are just making stuff up.

The 2017 Eagles were +162 (points for-points against) which is very good but it is NOT historically dominant. The same damn year the Pats were also exactly +162.

So let's assume maybe somehow 2 teams in the same year were both historically dominant (which of course kind of goes against the definition) and look at previous years. The 2016 Pats were +191 which is an 18% larger spread in just the previous year. That's not even close. Or look back two years to the 2015 Cardinals (you know, that all time great team) and they were +176.

Sell your BS somewhere else.:cheer2:

They were historically dominant, lost their MVP QB then it took the offense about a month to find its footing again with the journeyman backup QB but by the NFC Championship Game the offense was back to dominant form.

Also while the Patriots and Eagles had the same +/- point differential during the season the Eagles posted a +44 in the playoffs while the Patriots a +17.

Patriots in 2016 a +43 in the playoffs.

And on Thursday nights on the road in September against teams from States ending in the letter "a" they were off the charts...Again, if you have to justify shit, it just doesn't work...:L

No need to justify anything. Facts are facts. The 2017 Eagles were a historically dominant championship team.

Just like another fact that the Cowboys haven't been a legitimate championship contender for over two decades now.

Both wrong. The Cowboys have been a legitimate contender in the past two decades. At least be smart enough to say they haven't won a championship in over two decades. You guys can't even troll right :L

At no point in the past two decades have the Cowboys ever been a legitimate contender.

No, the number one seed in the Conference wouldn't be considered at least a "legitimate contender" would they

Are you referring to 2007 when they had a QB who was allergic to playoff success his entire career? Because no, a team isn't a legitimate contender with a QB allergic to playoff success.

Or are you referring to 2016 with Jason Garrett as the HC? Because no, a team with Jason Garrett as the HC is never a legitimate contender.

I see you are still justifying things to fit your narrative. At least you are consistent

We took a break to let the rest of the NFL catch up. Time to get rolling again.

In that case the Eagles have been legitimate contender exactly once in its entire existence. The only other time you played in the SB your QB literally threw up. If that's not allergic to winning the big one then nothing is.

Tony was allergic to even being able to get to a championship game.
