Ummmm sometimes people under perform and sometimes people out play their contract. Dak is probably the best bargain in all of sports. So you’re saying Dak is just a 800,000 type of player. I really don’t agree.

Not for his next contract, but currently he is getting paid what HE agreed to.

One, I never said Dallas will implode without Zeek. I said they won’t be SB contenders without him.
Yes, now a days it’s a passing league and teams don’t take RBs high very often. Guess who recently did? Your Dallas Cowboys. If you’re going to sit here and tell us the Dak lead Cowboys are a pass first team and Zeek isn’t their Center piece I really don’t know what to say. Dallas is completely carried by the best RB in the league and as Zeek goes the Cowboys go.
Maybe your issue should more be with the Cowboys management for taking a “role player” who you think should just be let go after his rookie deal is up with the 4th pick in the draft.

He kind of had to agree to it. That doesn’t mean he isnt severely underpaid.

Zeke's career rushing YPA is 4.7. Let's say a good replacement runs for 4.5 but the Cowboys find a guy or committee that runs for 4.3. At 20 carries per game that's 6 yards difference a game and I suspect they can mustard up more than the 6 TDs Zeke had last year - obviously Zeke will too.

Now I'm not one to try and say that the numbers are the entire picture. Zeke brings a presence to the field as well and forces teams to be aware of him and is also a good blocker and receiver. But at the same time it's not going to have the impact that some here are pretending. I love Zeke on this team, but at the end of the day it's just nowhere near as important as some make it out to be.

I’m one of the ones who thinks Zeek is of tremendous importance. Without the suspension he would have led the league every year in rushing. He IMO is a generational talent. He doesn’t get hurt and is the center piece of the Dallas Cowboys. Judging by your words I’m assuming Dallas should skip the 5 year 75 million dollar extension for Zeek?
Freaking spell check... “Mustard up” :)

Then why do you continue to insist he should hold out now?

I notice that it is 2 Eagles fans who are the biggest supporters of Dak and Zeke getting paid the big money.

To get his 100,000,000 guaranteed money before he gets hurt. 30, 32, 34 million a year doesn’t matter. It’s the 100,000,000 guaranteed he needs to get done.

What were Dak's #'s 2 years ago when Zeke missed 6 games compared to when they were both on the field? Outside of another current top tier RB the Cowboys won't find a replacement for his all around skill set right now.

But I will say this. He's a fucking knucklehead. He has to start making better off the field decisions.

Not good enough but it wasn't really Zeke being out. T Smith was out for the first two games Zeke missed (and Dak literally ran for his life all game in the first) and then hurt for the 3rd and Zack Martin got hurt in the 3rd. Dak hurt his wrist in the 4th and it bothered him for a couple of weeks. Neither of the Dallas Tackles practiced much at all for most of the year because they were so banged up and he was under constant pressure. His receivers were also disgustingly bad. He was severely handicapped during that stretch by what was around him. BUT BUT BUT,,,Dak didn't play great the 2nd half of that year either even with all of those issues and needed to get better and most importantly get his good footwork back but again the point is that the reason wasn't just Zeke. He finally hit his groove again mid way through last year when he got some weapons in the passing game that could get open and were NFL caliber. I suspect that continues with or without Zeke this year

Funny how people claim Dak ain't shit without his line, then ignore the games when his line wasn't intact.
Yes Dak didn't play well those games, and I'm betting not many QBs would have.

Wentz got over 100,000,000 guaranteed so how is that “over the top BS”. It’s actually far from asinine knucklehead.

Yeah, and if Wentz has a great game...it was ALL HIM, but all his shitty games are the fault of everyone else BUT HIM.

OK, I'll cede this as I miss read Wilson's and Wentz guaranteed money.
It still doesn't change the fact that he's not an injury risk, and can make more by simply waiting for another QB or two to sign.

If Dak had an injury history it would be wise to cash in now, like Wentz did. Look at Goff, he'll be in line for a huge contract too, but he's in no rush because he hasn't been injured.

    Betting on themselves.

Goff made #1 pick money. Dak is trying to get his money now. They are just evidently way off. I wouldn’t be surprised one bit if Dak holds out before the season. Just way too much to risk. Dak ain’t betting on himself. They are already talking.
