so now that we know Zajac won't be able to be in the opening night line up.. im interested to see how you guys have your projected line ups for opening night looking..

Tedenby - Elias - Clarkson
Pelley - Steckel - Boulton/Janssen

Can Patty play 30 minutes/game double shifted at this age? Hopefully he can!

Unfortunately it will be something like this:

Parise - Elias - Palmieri
Kovalchuk - Josefson - Tedenby (getting scored on every other shift)
Zubrus - Henrique - Clarkson
Pelley - Steckel - Boulton/Jansson (5 goals total for the season for this line)

I think offensively we will be alright, the problem is who is our PK center? We need somebody to be our in zone faceoff guy, kill penalties, etc. I think Elias and JJ can perform these tasks, I just don't know if they can log the minutes needed for these roles.

MadCaptains and Kellmit, it's tough to say which lineup is more accurate but it will certainly be one of the two. Zubrus is the real X Factor this season. We need Zubes to step up big time.

I have a weird feeling that Rod Pelley will need to step up. He's the only competent defensive center other than Elias.

JJ is smart and will be good but I don't see him being able to take over the PK duties

I like those lineups more, for the following:
Kovy and Palmieri played well with one another last year, so only a matter of time before Zajac comes back and return to that line.

JJ and Tedenby were working ok with each and I'm sure already gotten use to one another and if Parise is there, what a better leader? Plus Teds can hook Parise up real well on some breakaways. I can see some Nasty happening there.

The rest eh... where's Zharkov?
