Back when the Raiders first draft of Janikowski was fucking ripped Then I think he got to DUIs after that he got fatter and fatter, Me and my brother used to joke that Janikowski would be drinking a sixpack on the sidelines waiting to go in.

sorry i missed this post, 67% was the average. I want average, i'll take average thats why i said 65% or better.

Really do want them to bring in Jon Brown.

I would hope not? But the Cowboys cut Dan Bailey who had a down year last year hitting 75%. Before that his next lowest was 84%. About 1/2 his career he's hit at 90% or better.

I think if he did drink a six pack he'd be better than our kicker last year... lol

I've never been the biggest Janikowski fan. As long as he's a Seahawk I'll root for him to succeed, but no matter how he does I won't lose much sleep when he's gone.

Surprised more people aren't talking in this thread given his two back to back misses today coupled with the misses in the last preseason game. Dan Bailey tryout coming perhaps?

Hope so, Seabass is who he is a 80% FG kicker. Like i said i don't doubt he has a leg to still kick 50-55 yarders but his accuracy was never all that great. 1 game so far in this 1 game season and he effected the outcome to a loss. I expected 1 more but now seeing as it happened so early i wouldn't be shocked to see 2 more.

Not a HUGE fan of Janikowski. He's got a monster leg but he's never been that consistent over his career. Yah he's going to give you the best attempt at nailing a 55+ yarder, but for the 1 or 2 long shots he makes during the year, he'll miss a handful of easier ones.

Still better than Walsh... but it sucks we lost by 3 (again) and there was essentially two missed field goals. I know a 51 and 46 yarder are not gimmies, but with the Denver altitude and two tries in a non pressure situation... bleh.

End of day it was a team effort and it took the whole team working together, to lose this one.

Man I was disappointed with him missing those field goals from 40+ when the kicker from the other side is nailing them. I am not assuming that the outcome of the game was a result of it but if he cant go on the road and hit 40+ yard field goals this will be a long season on special teams

So this weekend should give some solace to the folks who think Seabass is too old or too inconsistent. Kicker all around the league were missing kicks. Short kicks, long kicks. Old kickers, young kickers. Doesn't seem to matter. Kicking is suddenly a problem around the NFL. There were at least three games this weekend directly effected by their kickers. Probably more than that, but at least three I know about. Cleveland-NO, GB-Minny, and Houston-Tennessee all had game altering misses.

Minnesota just signed Dan Bailey to replace their kicker.
That’s who I was hoping the Seahawks would sign, but he was a hot commodity give the how many teams need a kicker.

Supposedly he turned down something like 6 offers before he got the one from the Vikings. Wanted to go to a team he thought stood a chance of winning the Super Bowl.

just because a bunch of teams need kickers doesn't mean we don't LMAO. Or just because everyone is missing kicks doesn't mean we have to accept it. When something is broke you fix it. After saying that they didn't fix Walsh last season and they wont fix/replace the Seacow this season, That ship has now sailed.

Honestly, only Dan Bailey was worth picking up and there isn't much of anything else. I suspect the FO drafts the best FG kicker next draft.
