I mean he just has a different mindset now

Unless he has different knees now, his mindset won't matter.

Seriously though, if he and Wade can stay healthy and play well, it will be another cakewalk to the finals for the Cavs. They still don't beat the Warriors though.

If they can't stay healthy and/or don't play well, the Cavs may not make it out of the east. Especially if they struggle to fit IT in.

I don't have a fav team, but this one's pretty easy.

Atlanta Hawks - Taurean Prince
Boston Celtics - Jaylen Brown
Brooklyn Nets - Caris Levert
Charlotte Hornets - Frank Kaminsky
Chicago Bulls - Denzel Valentine
Cleveland Cavs - N/A
Dallas Mavericks - Seth Curry
Denver Nuggets - Gary Harris
Detroit Pistons - Stanley Johnson
Golden State Warriors - N/A
Houston Rockets - N/A
Indiana Pacers - Myles Turner
L.A. Clippers - Kinda iffy. I'll go with the most safe bet. Austin Rivers.
L.A. Lakers - Brandon Ingram
Memphis Grizzlies- Chandler Parsons ( maybe once in his career he stays healthy ).
Milwaukee Bucks - Malcolm Brogdon
Minnesota Timberwolves - Nemanja Bjelica

Seriously, I love me some Bjelica. Hopefully Thibs use him like he used Mirotic in Chicago. He needs to stay healthy too though:

New Orleans Pelicans - I don't consider anyone really. Maybe Jordan Crawford?
New York Knicks - Tim Hardaway Jr. ( 2nd time's the charm ).
OKC Thunder - Alex Abrines
Orlando Magic - Aaron Gordon
Philadelphia Sixers - Richaun Holmes
Phoenix Suns - TJ Warren
Portland Blazers - Maurice Harkless
Sacramento Kings - Willie Cauley-Stein
San Antonio Spurs - Dejounte Murray
Toronto Raptors - Norman Powell
Utah Jazz - Rodney Hood
Washington Wizards - Kelly Oubre Jr.

DeJounte Murray is the smart pick, but I'd love to see Joffrey Lauvergne provide decent minutes off the bench. Not quite a breakout year, but Murray is the only one that fits the role.

Knowing Popovich he'll probably gonna give Mills majority of the minutes out the gate. Kyle Anderson is another prime pick.

I did. Changed OKC's player.

Oh I see.

Eh... I think the ball will never go to no one else with 3 of the most ISO players in the league. I can see his appeal though as a dead-eye 3 point specialist.

He's really our only possibility.

Before the free agency period my answer would have been Patrick McCaw, but his role is kind of up in the air now.

I know @Wamu was joking earlier about Swaggy P, but seriously I think if there's any "breakout" player for the Warriors, it'll be him. Did you know that he had a higher catch and shoot 3 point percentage last year than Klay Thompson? I feel like he's a guy who in the right system and culture can really thrive. His defense stepped up a notch last year and if he continues to improve he's going to be really, really good in the Warriors system.

Of course passing will be an issue, but you've seen how the Warriors play and sharing the ball is infections. I think you'll see him at his absolute best of his career this year. He'll not only be productive, but efficient. He's going to get cleaner looks at the basket and because of his height it'll allow him to be a factor defensively in the Warriors switch everything scheme.

So my pick is in fact Nick Young.

Also a side contender for breakout player: Javale McGee. He really improved last year defensively being more fundamentally sound. I know Zaza is going to be the starter, but Javale offers a lot of change of pace. If he gets more consistent, which is possible, he could be in line for more minutes.

So just to recap: Warriors are NBA Champions and my picks for breakout players on the team are Nick Young and Javale McGee. WTF world are we living in?

I agree. I have a soft spot for him (like @TurnUpTheHeat with Beasley). Talent has never been a problem for him. His maturity level has been his problem.

Luke's system is very much like what GSW runs and Swaggy had arguably his best season as a Laker. Luke even got him to buy in on defense.

He's never going to be DPOY, but the effort was definitely there last year. If he maintains the effort on defense and gets the kinds of looks that I think he will in GSW, he could end up having his best season as a pro.

The smart pick is to start Murray and keep Mills with the bench. I wanna see what Murray can do. Mills has proven himself, so if he wants to go that route and start him, it wouldn't shock me. I really wanna see Murray start, though.

I think the Spurs breakout player will be whatever Euro Pop has stashed somewhere that no one knows about yet.

I'm praying that it is Andre Drummond's free throw shooting and Reggie Jackson's assist numbers.
But god, would it be nice to stop hearing about Stanley Johnson's potential and have it be performance.

I don't know what to make of Davis Bertans. A do-it-all-wing or just a scorer? Idk.

God I wish Bjelica was on the Spurs. Basketball orgy.

Drummond needs to do those grandma free throws. No one's gonna laugh at him ( maybe ).

Stanley is so raw offensively, but I like his upside.

Lol at Reggie Jackson tho. Dude got outplayed by Ish Smith.

Its seems every year we say Aaron Gordon........................

"Gordon is finally healthy coming into camp and now he has a clear role. Plus, he's coming off a very strong second half, averaging 16.4 points, 6.2 boards, 1.7 assists, 1.0 steals, 0.7 blocks and 0.9 treys on 50.3 percent from the field and 83.8 percent from the line in his last 24 games."-Rotoworld

After the Ibaka trade he finally played his position and put up solid #'s across the board. He's still only 21. 21!!

Stanley will probably end up one of those guys that won't show his full potential until the year before he becomes a RFA, which is frustrating for the team that has him of course... some players take time. This will be a huge year for him.
