How the hell do you give up 45 pts to a team that is one dimensional. Not to mention their WR's are mainly practice squad players and career 3rd and 4th wr
Briggs, Tillman, and Wright were hurt pretty much the whole second half. The Bears are down to playing DE's at the 3 technique. They have their backup rookie MLB playing.
Only four original starters that began the season were out there for the second half. Jennings, Peppers, Anderson, and Conte.
That's two LB's, two DT's, your FS, your #1 CB, and they were playing with their 3rd string outside LB when the backup (Costanzo) went down for one drive.
Not to mention, Briggs and Tillman are the two defensive captains and easily the best players. Far and away the last two guys you'd want to lose.
Peppers is a shell of what he was just a year ago. This defense is not good, don't get me wrong, but they were pretty much rolling out the practice squad team there for most of the second half. That's why things got out of hand.
