I've about had it up to *here* with people saying one team or another CAN'T do anything substantial if they make the playoffs.

History has shown that once you get to the playoffs, ANYTHING can happen.

Did anyone have the Ravens picked as SB champs at this time last year? Nope.

Did anyone think the '05 Steelers were going to win the SB when they had to win all 4 of their remaining games? Nope.

Did anyone think the Giants had a prayer against the '07 Patriots? Nope.

And how about the '10 Packers? People said they were to injured.

Winning the SB is sometimes about getting hot at just the right time. Some teams in the NFL are starting to do that - most notably the Bears and Eagles.

Doesn't mean they're going to win it all, but they COULD.

And that's what I love about the NFL....any team can win it any given year. There are SOME teams that are out of it but a lot of others are still in it and could go all the way.

Someone wil win the SB. Why not the team that you don't think is going to?

I agree. So many times we've seen in the PO/SB, it's not necessarily the best team, but the team playing the best at that time that wins the SB.

I agree for the most part. There were people that thought all those teams could do it.

Fact is, Ravens fans got you all butthurt on that other thread so instead of continuing that argument over there, you decided to start another thread about the same thing. You should be penalized for being a "thread repeater". You do the same thing with Obama and Healthcare. Quite boring.:lame:

Ugh....yup, you're a troll.

Not butthurt at all, I owned him.

THIS is a separate topic. My point is simple, and yet it escapes you....ANY team can win the SB if they make the playoffs.

I'm just tired of hearing that (team X) can't win it all because they haven't played well all season until now.

And I listed several teams that were in that boat until the end of the season.

A troll? Why, because I'm sick of reading you argue with Raven on Any and Every topic? And here I thought the demise of CBS would rid the world of y'alls assinine debates.

anyone who thinks that their team is dominant or unbeatable in the playoffs (i am hearing this from a lot of hawks fans right now because of their #1 seed) is being naive. NFL playoffs are all about match-ups and which team is 'hot' at that moment.

Agreed.

The Giants were probably the one team in the playoffs in both '07 and '11 that could have beaten them. The Steelers were probably the only team that could have beaten the Colts in '05.

Agree, but you also discount home field.

Teams with a home field ADVANTAGE are every team, but especially Denver, New Orleans, and yes, Seattle.

The niners will not be able to win in Seattle during the playoffs. Perhaps another team could, but without his super cool headphones, Kap would be a major liability and they cannot win there.

Midnight...you're right...anything can happen on any given Sunday...it can happen in the playoffs.

Typically the teams that go on those late year runs have solid QB play and good DEF but maybe something wasn't clicking earlier in the yr...and all of a sudden it's clicking...I could see Flacco getting hot and BAL make another run? Yes...he's done it, doubt it w/o a healthy Pitta, but it can happen. I struggle to name a lot more dark horse teams b/c the QB play has been iffy most of the yr for the fringe teams.

The Saints will beat them in the NFCCG. The Seahawks will make the Super Bowl next year.

LOL You know which team is going to win the NFC not only this year, but next year too. Same for the AFC and the SBs?

Sorry I didn't put a disclaimer that it was my opinion. Figured people would understand that. I'm sure most will.

It's not uncommon to see a good young team take a couple years before they put it all together. Wildcard team last year and lose 1 game short of NFCCG. They lose to a veteran Saints team this year in the NFCCG. Next year they build on their experiences and get it done.

Just my opinion.

Okay, my bad. Seems to be an unusually well defined opinion at this point in the season to expect that NO will beat Seattle in the NFCCC game this year and that Seattle will then win that game next season, but you are obviously entitled to your opinion.
