This is year three of the rebuild that Hextall told us we were heading into when he took over.
During that time the Flyers have made the playoffs twice.
That's right, two times a team in mid rebuild has still been in the top 16 of the NHL.
Do we all want the Flyers to win the Cup? Yes
Do we all think this team is in need of improvement? Yes
But this is only year three. There are things that no one can control. Elliot's injury, Morin's injuries, the decline in Simmonds' game this season, Stolarz re-injury.
There are a lot of good things to look forward to moving forward.
And there are a lot of things that are going to be changing.
