Tanaka (11-5) allowed three hits and didn’t walk anyone, but he wasn’t all that impressed.
“I felt like I didn’t have my best stuff,” Tanaka said through a translator. “I didn’t have good command of my slider and had to make adjustments throughout the game. But as the game went one I felt I was able to get my focus. It’s just grinding it out.”

Here are Servais post game comments regarding Tanaka...

“That’s about as good a pitched game we’ve had against us in quite some time,” said Mariners manager Scott Servais. “He used all four quadrants of the strike zone with his fastball and he had a really good splitter going. We didn’t get much to square up at all.”

Seems like every pitcher, rookie or not pitches a great game against us... Tired of his excuses... Our hittlers aren't very good... Tell it like it is..

Yo...Santana- ulmax, I'm going to take a wild ass stab at this BUT.....I'm guessing you were a major stoner ++ back in the 60's and 70's. Am I right? Did you go to Woodstock and enjoy Jimi, Janice, Carlos, The Who, Joe etc. ? or go to Sky River in the late 60's / early70's?

Well that doesn't surprise me one little bit. What makes it really sad is what this says about the Mariner organization. How can any major league team be so "out of it" for so long?....and still have such a dedicated (maybe crazy) fan base?

OK, my mistake- sorry, it's just that you've posted a lot of groups (songs) from back in that era when pot, mescaline (sp) and other psychedelics were part of the "culture". A hardy apology and a BIG thank you for your service in really tough times. Keep the faith with the M's AND your interesting posts. Thanks for keeping me amused and entertained. :thumb:
