Basically I don't think they ever will get them back. Even if they win the division, they won;t get 2.5 million, which was the goal in 2013 that never happened and those were successful teams. To be honest, they won't win 80 next year.

I see a lot more whining about how Riggleman isn't giving the players days off and that they are worn down. What the fuck? If they were playing for a pennant, they'd be in there. I guess experts are a dime a dozen.

I don't know who at fault to why they are playing this way. I think that they are better than what they are playing. And maybe they just aint that good. But outside of pride they are playing for nothing.

I think MLB has some real problems. They have 5 to 6 teams making the playoffs every year, Some of those teams have 95+ wins and don't even win their division. While you have more than a hand full of teams losing 90 to 110+ games. And to me the worst of this is MLB doesn't even think this is a problem.

Getting old sucks.

Everything tasted better, and was a better value, back in the day-including baseball. You can’t argue that with a generation that doesn’t know anything past 2000, including baseball fans, owners, commissioners and the writers of course. Many Millennials don’t know who discovered America, what socialism or ethics mean, or what pre-ped, pre-dh, pre free agent, pre-propaganda press sports were. No one knows what a pension was, where tax dollars come from, or how to cook a meal without a pre-mixed box and instructions. One day, all the lights will go out and no one will know how to flip the switch without a cell phone.

You can’t instruct, because they are convinced they already know all they need. You can’t coach or state an opinion or fact because it is sure to offend someone.

Entitlement and deception is drowning us, and baseball isn’t immune. I have news- the national pastime isn’t sports, it’s video gaming.

Our Reds can finish last cheaper. It’s no secret, it’s the current playbook. Revenue sharing is merely the result of Insider trading among billionaires splitting up proceeds from dupes like us paying sponsors fees in our cell phones, cable tv, corn flakes and Budweiser. Even if fans don’t show up, they get our money eventually. As long as that doesn’t change, you get what they provide.

Winning has a formula, that has ingredients that aren’t being grown much anymore in Redsland, and are inevitably more rare and expensive elsewhere as well.

Strikeouts are more exiting than bunts. The DL is easier than playing everyday. What’s the chances anyone will work everyday ?

Opening relievers, TJ, more wildcard games, shorter seasons, quicker games, fireworks and fajitas won’t make baseball better.

Excecution is a result of preparation. Preparation is work. That’s a tough sell at any price, especially if you are ok with what lesser results yield.

Wait til next year ? Wow. Running out of those. This rebuild has taken longer than the pyramids.
