Hope Fed can make it injury free and play in it. Some interesting mix of the old and the new. Five young guns and three dinosaurs.

Have a feeling Nadal is gonna withdraw. That would leave a lopsided draw with two heavyweights in the same group. That’s a Nadal sort of thing he does to screw up things always!!

Must win situation for all three. Nadal of he wants to make SF and Djokovic if he wants to prevent Nadal from ending year as # 1. Fed has to win one against Djoko after seeing how Thiem manhandled The Djoker with his power.

FED beat Djokovic, and I didn't see it.

I wish someone had tagged or alerted me that they were going to play. I forgot to check the draw.

Fed is gonna get revenge against Tsitsipas. Go Fed. I think Zverev might one this one vs Thiem.

zverev and thiem are fool's gold. they could maybe eke out a major for the few years between 00-03 when hewitt and roddick were all the ATP really had, but today's ATP is much more talented from top to bottom right now. if fed, nadal, and nole draw drop dead of heart failure, those 20-somethings might win a slam. if not, they're just above average players in an era of GOATs. not exactly scathing criticism, just realism.

I was wrong on both counts! Would have been nice if Fed could lift this trophy, but beating Djoker wasn’t too shabby at all!!

Deciding set! I want Thiem to win. He is the most promising out of the whole bunch and older too.

It was shabby, I wanted the title.

Beating Djokovic in a best of 3 is not the same as a major.

Federer didn't have the best shot selection, in his loss to Tsitsipas. Congrats to Tsitsipas for making the Finals.

I didn't know ESPN was going to broadcast the Finals live, so I was ready for the 12pm Tennis Channel broadcast.

Then when I turned it on, the ticker said they'd only start showing the match once the ESPN broadcast was done.

That wasn't for over another hour.

Thankfully I got in the entire Tennis Channel broadcast match on the DVR.

A match that went to a 3rd set tiebreak, and a competitive tiebreak, can't ask for anything else. Both played great.

For a while, it looked Tsitsipas was going to won the 2nd and 3rd sets easily, based on how often he was breaking Thiem. But then Thiem fought back just enough to get to the tiebreak.

Congrats to Tsitsipas for winning.

Nothing wrong with that for Thiem, it's hard to win a major.

I've never bought into Alexander Zverev.

I find Misha Zverev more interesting.
