If wrestling had a Mt. Rushmore who would be on it?

IMO:

Hogan
Austin
Andre The Giant
Flair

Would love to know some your opinions.

Good thread topic....

Hogan and Flair for sure imo....does Vince get a spot (not necessarily for his wrestling, but his overall contribution to wrestling).

Vince would obviously but Im talking just Wrestlers.

I would also say Hogan, Flair, and Austin would be locks. That #4 spot is tough so many people to choose from.

Not sure how you would pin a mountain, but I'd probably pay to watch someone try. :dhd:

Hard to narrow it down to just 4 for me. If I were to do one it would probably go like this,

Bruno Sammartino
Hulk Hogan
Ric Flair
Vince McMahon

Honorable mentions: Harley Race, Macho Man, Andre the Giant, HBK, Steve Austin, Undertaker, HHH, The Rock, & John Cena

The potential issue with Austin is that his career, or at least his "prime" as a top guy, appears to be relatively short (6 or so years)....his impact was huge though, and it's a matter of how much you weigh each.

Yea his neck injury really shortened his career. But nobody has ever been as popular as he was in 98/99 not even Hogan.

I agree, SCSA's peak was higher than anyone else's peak.

That was when RAW was literally a can't miss. If you missed an episode you would have to sit around all week and listen to your buddys talk about how awesome RAW was.

I'm not sure about that, Hogan was wrestling and brought it to where it is today. Starting back in the AWA days with Andre, Verne Gagne, The Crusher, Nick Bockwinkel, The Baron, Flair, Jesse Ventura, Jim Brunzell, Mad Dog, The Von Erichs, & of course Mean Gene.

Yeah, I would never miss Raw back then. It was nice that you could watch Raw as it was on then later they would rebroadcast Nitro. Mondays used to be the best day of the week during the 1990s.

True, lot of greats paved the way. It's much harder to pick the top 4 wrestlers than it is to pick the top 4 presidents IMO.

Thankfully I've never had that problem, I don't think I've ever heard anyone over the age of 14 tell me how awesome raw was. :suds:

Back then every part of the show was good. I watch it back on DVR today so I can fast forward through the shitty parts of the show. Usually there is about an hour of that.

No doubt, I stopped watching Nitro about June or July of 98. So I would watch Walker Texas Ranger before Raw came on.
