If you could get Trout from Angels for a deal centered around Walker BUT you would have to take back either Pujols or Hamilton and their full contracts, would you do it? I know Angels wouldn't even think about it, but interesting to see if the fans would while keeping in mind M's don't have infinite budget.

In a second. Trout's the best all around player in baseball. I thought he should have definitely won the MVP last year and he made a strong case this year as well.

And if the Angels agreed to any deal involving Trout Angels fans would probably burn down the stadium.

No doubt about it. I would do it in a split second.

Pujols had a down year but let us not forget the caliber of hitter he is. I think he bounces back next year.

That is what I figured the response would be. The fact that is a lot of money might give some fans some pause.

What if it would take Pujols and Hamilton's contracts? That's a lot of money for declining players.

Pretty sure I'd give Paxton, Hultzen, Walker, Miller, Franklin, Pryor and Smoak and cash for Pujols and Trout

In a heartbeat for Pujols, but not Hamilton.

You'd get the face of baseball and a once in a generation talent in Trout, and also a guy who might be able to thrive as a DH only. Pujols will never match his pre-2011 form, but he can still hit for power.

But yeah, this would never happen.

I agree with cezero.

Definitely for Pujols but not for Hamilton. Mike Trout is amazing and he isn't a douche bag like Bryce Harper.

Sure, and Trout will be sooooooo easy to keep because he'll be happy to work on minimum salary contracts his whole career for the betterment of the team. Let's ignore the reality that him, Pujols, Cano and Felix will cost $120 million dollars in a few years we're too busy lighting ten thousand dollar bills on fire!

Trout isn't even arb eligibile until 2015, and won't be a free agent until 2018.

And everybody knows how expensive it will be for the Angels or anybody else to sign him. So will Walker a couple of years after Trout if he lives up to his potential.

The other thing - you would need to be sure you'd be able to trade Cano or Albert in 5 years because there's only one DH slot.
