With Bill Snyder not there, Kansas State is historically one of the worst major conference teams. There's really not many options for a team like Kansas State, but they're gonna have to move on eventually, and really, they haven't been more than a fringe bowl team the last few years.

If he is healthy enough (physically and mentally) and not doing anything to harm the program, why not? If they are HC and are not healthy enough to coach on the sideline, I would look into retirement.

You just don't want to have you program looking like the end of the JoePa era at Penn State or the Bobby Bowden era at FSU.

the only thing that bothers me, is not him coaching at his age. It's him working behind the scenes for his son to take his place. I don't know if that's even true, so probably should not have said anything. But I have heard he wants his son to take over, and has strong feelings that that is done.

Yeah not a secret, he has openly lobbied for it and it’s not a battle he is going to win.
