Saying it is McCoy for Murray + Alonzo is failing to understand how the NFL works a little bit.

The trade really was would you trade McCoy + about $20M for Alonzo and Murray.

Murray's upfront money is a huge game changer on what the Eagles can and can't do in other areas. Eagles had already paid Shady and had him under control for another 3 seasons at a reasonable price. With Murray the Eagles have to cut a $21M check to get him in green.

....then throw in the Matthews fiasco where the Eagles inked him and then changed their mind and went after Murray and the status quo really was a better option for the Eagles IMO.

Maybe, we'll see. Based on an article I read the other day it sounds like Chip is thinking about spreading around the touches pretty evenly.
