Or consider it?

How J.J. Watt's release could pave way to Watson-Sweat trade
The Texans are out an edge rusher and the Washington Football Team is stocked with them. Could there be a match that lands ...

The proof is in the pudding, but generally speaking, I would absolutely consider it.

Fine if you include Sweat in the deal what else does Houston want? 2 #1's?

It would be something to consider.

I would have to have a meeting with Watson to make that determination. I would need to know exactly why he was demanding out and threatening to sit Six months after taking 20+ million dollars in a signing bonus.

Im just curious what the extra compensation would be if Sweat was in the deal.

Like the others say, it depends on what the rest of the compensation is. Young-Sweat will NEVER be duplicated imo.

if you are saying 2 1sts , 2 2nds and sweat and that's it, then i think we can make that deal . now understand that if you do that DW's cap hit and resigning darby and sherf means you wont get a top end wr so what we get in the draft and what we have will have to do

losing sweat is huge on the d/line . ionman would have to make a move outside and smith williams would have to step up . you still would have the whole at safety and LB and we have our bookend OT's entering FA next year

Sweat, 2 1s and 2 2s for watson.
I think you make that move as painful as it would be. As a new regime, i have no attachment to sweat nor what it took to draft him. Also as Skinsdad mentioned, we could still get a solid WR in the draft.
As a fan, no. But as a businessman yes

The extra drafts pick with Sweat. I wouldn't give 2 1st and 2 2nds plus Sweat for Watson. That is too much.
if i am the texans that is the price

Yeah playing devil's advocate, maybe you settle for 2 1 a 2nd and sweat, if not, no players will stick around when things get tough. Not hating on Watson, but yeah

i doubt the texans do that but if they did i would jump on it . but again the other teams in competition with us can make better offers

What is the organization going to do with J.Allen? could we move him now, re-sign him to save cap room?
Or is he too much of a locker room presence?

Here's the offer as outlined by its author:

"If Washington could come up with a package of picks — first round, second round, maybe a future first, future second — and Montez,"

I would not approve of this offer without the following exception... The first and second round picks could not be in consecutive years.

I'm sticking with my offers that don't include 2nd rounders; however, this is an interesting offer and rather than changing its terms in order to make an easier decision as some have done, I've altered how these terms could be administered.
