If you need a good laugh
One of the worst events I ever saw. VAR was not designed to rule the pitch, tey were not authorized to make calls only support or deny the referees calls, just like instant replay in the NFL, a tool for accuracy. FIFA should be ashamed of themselves and the VAR team disqualified althought he damage is done,
The officiating in this cup is absolutely terrible
So everyone bitching about FIFA corruption now should look at this guy Chuck Blazer - Wikipedia. This clown made his way up to the point where he could be a key figure in a huge scandal. The organization is a ******* mess. It's been like that for a long time. Enjoy the soccer but don't think that winning a competition that these buffoons put on really means anything at this point.
And why not sir ?
Thank you for answering my 1st ever question in here. Can I ask why you don't think it would help? No, documentaries won’t help, to answer your first post ever here.
Yes.Thank you for answering my 1st ever question in here. Can I ask why you don't think it would help?
eally appreciate the detailed reply — that’s exactly the kind of honest perspective I was hoping to learn from.Yes.
The major sports in America have been cemented already for over a century.
NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL.
There has never been a big focus on soccer and that’s on all levels from being a kid and through high school and college.
The MLS for this reason has never gained any traction and why it remains a poor product, paling in comparison to other leagues around the world.
This is not even mentioning the attention span of your average American, they’re not going to devote an hour or two of time for something that hasn’t been ingrained in their minds as far as sports culture already.
Would be like showing my Grandfather a tutorial on playing Magic: The Gathering, a poor analogy but that’s really how much many Americans don’t care about soccer.
Everyone gets their info from social media now, and all most people are focused on is corruption and flopping. People don’t care about storied histories and things of that nature when they’re being told soccer is garbage from every which way. (Not saying it’s right but any perception of soccer from a common American would be the most recent news)
We’ve gone too deep without soccer that it’s seemingly impossible for it to become a 5th major sport here, and the fact that the USMNT doesn’t have a great deal of success doesn’t help either.
Sure the women have but I don’t need to tell you why that doesn’t matter.
Hope this helps! Anyone feel free to tack on anything I missed or make adjustments.
In their defense, most teams put on a much better show than the USMNT did against Belgium. If you need a good laugh
