nbc10 in Philly is reporting that the Flyers have offered Parise a 10 year 100 million dollar contract and they have offered Suter 12 years and 80 million. They didn't say either was close to signing their offer. They just stated that both players were taking their time.

Where does your team find the cap room for these type of players?

We have a bunch currently, and then we put pronger on LTIR. Still have to resign Voracek though. If we sign both Parise and Suter, I can almost guarantee we wont have Meszaros next year. He just seems like the odd man out with a large cap hit.

They don't. We can probably squeeze in one. If both sign, Bryzgalov goes out to the red light district, holding a sign:

Will suck

in net
for cap space.

Well it would fit into the Flyers' goalie shenanigans. Management has some creepy love affair with retreads of horrible starting goalies. Esche, Boucher, Nitty, and now Leighton?

I guess they can always bring back Cechmanek next. He atleast played well in the regular season.

Lou should get moving and sign Parise and Jagr. That would make the Devils even better than this past season. Jagr is better than Poni. Still need a little more on D though.

I think Larsson with the year under his belt will help the D

I'm wondering if the cap drops do the salaries get scaled back by the same percentage?

If they change the revenue splits in the CBA and the cap drops as a result, they will almost certainly include a clause that scales back salaries, yes. If you mean if the salary cap goes down year-to-year because revenues drop, then salaries remain the same and teams just have to do what they can to stay underneath.
